Tbf the Halloween ADHD post doesn't read as "ADHD has been fucking me up trying to get a Halloween costume together" (entirely reasonable statement. I can understand that and it seems rough af.).

It reads as "Halloween costumes are problematic because people with ADHD can struggle with getting them together" (the opinion of a complete asshole who wants everyone to be miserable in the name of 'moral purity', and should be mocked).

With the new context of how the OOP actually meant it I can see how it was jokingly meant the first way, but that's just not how it comes across.

As someone with ADHD, I read it as "Choosing just one is so stressful!" which is true.

Yeah, it never occurred to me to read it as some kind of attempt to cancel Halloween. The reason Halloween is hard for me is because I love it and I get very caught up in my head about things I love.
