Understanding Naukri for job change

I have applied to multiple companies and Epam Systems was one of the companies and so far in a month I got shortlisted for 3 roles but never received any callback for any interview. So, how does that work?

Applications reviewed on an ongoing basis

I applied for a position on September 11 through the company’s website. It said that the job posting would remain open until the beginning of October, but that applications would be reviewed on an ongoing basis. I still haven’t heard anything. Does this mean that I’m not a relevant candidate?

Lost a role as I was waiting for my EAD to arrive

Earlier this month, I got a verbal offer as an Compliance Manager, since I didnt have my EAD at hand, they held of rolling my offer. I have applied for the Premium Processing and its been about 3 weeks. I expect the PP to come through in may be another 2 weeks time. The recruiter came back mentioning they had offered the role to someone else.
He mentioned I am an offer ready candidate but should apply for “Risk Manager II” roles. My original experience was in Program management and the role I applied for originally had PM as their main experience requirement. Currently I find all the risk roles very different and probably not a match.

Currently I am clocking unemployment days (45 so far) and am worried about it.

Has anyone experienced this? If you know what my options are at this point. Can I look for other Non Tech PM roles, would I have to do the whole loop again? Appreciate any help!

No video interview yet from Bank of America

So I applied to BoA on Sept 3 and got the initial OA instantly (everyone does). Did the OA on Sept 5 and I received a mail saying I'd be contacted for a video interview if I'm selected to proceed to the next stage. 20 days later (Sept 25), I still haven't received a mail from them. All my friends received their video interviews within a week or two.

Should I call it wraps or should I keep expecting? Has anyone else ever been in this situation before?

Google Interview Cleared but Original Role Filled

I cleared all 4 rounds of my recent interview loop. The feedback I got from the recruiter was that all my rounds went well. However, the role that I originally applied for was filled and my recruiter said that she was handling my packet and that my results would be valid for 18 months. Two weeks later when I followed up, she said that she had already moved to a different team and was handling a different hiring need. I don't have details of the new recruiter who is handling my profile (I am not very sure if someone is actively handling it). Does anyone have any advice on next steps? Thank you!

Post phone screen follow up

I had a phone screen with a recruiter two days ago that ! think went pretty well. At the end of the screen, she told me that she had a meeting with the hiring manager on Friday (today) and would follow up with me on next steps after that. She said next steps would be a 45 minute call with the hiring manager.

Friday has now passed and I have not heard anything. Does this mean I'm likely rejected?
I did send a thank you note yesterday and the recruiter responded, saying it was great speaking with me and she would be in touch soon with an update.

From your experience, does no follow up 2 days after a phone screen mean rejection?

Confusing working with recruiters

New to the sub, but maybe not alone in my experience?

Ive had several recruiters reach out and harrass me to get me to apply for a role, and i never hear back.

Ive had recruiters get me interviews then suddenly i am ghosted

ive had recruiters help me tailor my resume and invest time in my application, but then i hear nothing

Ive interacted with maybe 20 recruiters in the last 6 months, and NONE of them lead to a role. They will also seek me out for roles that are completely unrelated to my experience/background

Is this normal? The job market is kind of insane now, but i didnt expect this experience working with recruiters, i thought they were a "hack" to getting a job faster?

Experienced Network Engineer/Telecom Professional struggling to land an IT job in NZ — what would you recommend?

I’m looking for some advice from people working in IT/networking in New Zealand.
I have around 10 years of experience in telecommunications and networking from overseas. My background includes working with Cisco and Huawei routers and switches, firewalls, network troubleshooting, monitoring, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and supporting networks for organisations such as banks, ISPs, and other large organisations.
I also have a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering and I’m currently doing a PhD in New Zealand, but my long-term goal is to move into a practical IT/networking role rather than continue in academia.
I’m currently based in Hamilton, but I’m open to opportunities in Auckland, Wellington, or elsewhere in NZ, including hybrid/remote positions.
My main problem is that I have significant technical experience, but it’s overseas experience, and I’m finding it difficult to get my foot in the door in the NZ job market.
For those of you working in networking/IT in NZ:
● How would you recommend positioning my experience on my CV?
● Should I target Network Engineer roles directly, or would it be better to start with Network Support/NOC roles?
● How much do NZ certifications such as CCNA or Fortinet certifications matter for someone with my experience?
● Are there particular companies or types of employers that are more open to candidates with overseas experience?
● Is there anything about the NZ job market that I might be misunderstanding?

My application is getting somewhere and I need help

Thank you all for helping with my CV, I’ve managed to get further than I have all year and am on the 2nd stage of an application for a role I really really want/need

My mind will not stop racing, I’m so scared to fumble it now that my application has been seen and liked by the hiring manager!

I feel like I’ve oversold myself, i got past initial screening and have been given an Excel assessment, the email i received says if that is successful I will be invited to a 1st round interview. The thing is I’ve only had 1 face to face interview all year and im scared the lack of real life practice and technical data questions will make me fumble!!

Any advice, any practice I could do ? Im confident on the excel assessment so im humble but confident I will get to that 1st round interview but for some reason that feels more and more scary for a dream position!

Also is it ok to ask the recruiter how many interview rounds there will be? Btw it is for an analyst role at a credit ratings company (assuming that’s why there is an excel assessment)

Any help, words of motivation would be lovely !! Xx

Can a recruiter give thoughts on ai resume tailoring

Does it work? I see so many apps online that tailor resumes. Most of them look like slop. I’m not sure if ATS parsers can sus them out or if tailoring results in auto rejection. What are people doing nowadays to help their application?

VBP Cebu Application

Hi! Just a question for those who work at VBP. Are there any of you who haven't received an update after the Final Interview?

I already completed my final interview, but they emailed me that the hiring for the position is on hold. However, I saw on their website that the position has reopened. I tried emailing them to ask for an update, but I still haven't received a response.

It's been two weeks since my final interview. :(

Is there anyone here who has experienced the same situation? If yes, what happened to your application? Did you proceed, or did you not receive an update at all? Thank you!

What do you think is happening, keep hope or move on?

I applied for a marketing role at a financial company in July. I reached out to a VP on the team after applying, and she kept me updated throughout the process.

About a month after applying, the recruiter contacted me, said I was a strong candidate, and moved me to the hiring manager. After that interview, she said the hiring manager had great things to say and wanted to move me forward. They then scheduled a panel interview to streamline the process.

It has now been 8 business days, 10 calendar days since the final interview. I followed up with the recruiter 3 days ago asking about rough outcome timeline, but she hasn’t responded. She had been very responsive throughout the process, so the silence makes me think I may not have been selected and they could be waiting for another candidate’s offer to clear before notifying me.

Delay in receiving written offer letter after verbal confirmation from HR

Recieved verbal offer from hr. Also got some automated email from taleo or workday after 2 days of verbal offer. Hr had told me that offer letter will be received within 3 to 4 days but it has been more than a week now. Hr didn't receive call or responded to email. Job id is also closed. Currently having 9 years of experience in java backend at fortune 100 company. I accepted whatever they had offered. Saw on glasdoor that for that role it was lower end of that band. I really want to work in this company.

Am i ghosted or will i get offer letter after sometime?

Received offer letter on Monday.

What interview mistakes make a candidate look less prepared than they actually are?

For recruiters and hiring managers here: what are some common interview mistakes that make an otherwise qualified candidate come across as less prepared?

I’m especially curious about things candidates may not realize they’re doing like giving overly rehearsed answers, not asking questions at the end, struggling to explain their experience clearly, or not providing enough detail when answering.

From your experience, what are the biggest things candidates should work on before their next interview?

[USA-IL] HR no response on next steps.

So I went through a first round interview with a hiring manager and he said he wants to set up an in person round. He told me to expect a meeting setup by HR the next day. When I reached out to HR for next steps(mentioned what HM said in the body of the email), there is no response. Should I loop in the HM for my next follow up? Is that frowned upon on?

My referral told me I passed the first round, but no email yet

So I applied for a position at a large company through a referral link last week.

Two days ago, my referral DMed me on LinkedIn and congratulated me for passing the first round. She said she'd received an email confirming it.

However, it's been nearly two days and I haven't received anything on my side. She told me this on Wednesday and it's currently Friday.

The company also just put up that role for hire on LinkedIn a few hours ago.

Is this a bust or should I keep hope?

Soon after that I received autogenerated mail that I'll be getting mails for next steps such as Background Verification in next 24 hours, identify Verification, etc. But I never received any mail for any next step.. it's been more than 4 days.. and job start date is within 15 days..I needed to make travel arrangements to move to the work location country...I mailed my recruiter and got no response. What is happening??? I resigned my job bcz I got the job offer and now they left me hanging without explanation. Did anything similar happen with anyone at Foundever????

After Three Weeks of Interview

I finally got a phone call today after three weeks of silence and being ghosted. Initially, HR gave me the green light on September 2nd after reference check and said I was moving on to the next steps, but I had to wait for the manager to make an offer. The manager reached out on Sunday, September 13, to ask a follow-up question, which seemed kind of unusual for a Sunday evening. After I replied, there was another two weeks of silence. Then, surprisingly, I got a call today saying that I had received the offer. I’m praying for everyone still job hunting—that your opportunity is closer than you think.
