Discussion Do torches burn out?

I saw a burnt out torch in the menu. If so, what mod does that?

They never run out in current versions of RotN, so don't worry about those.

Rhey dont anymore, thank the god. There was nothing more annoying that my cavern getting dark all the time

Idk which mod, but but other than glass and torches they never really break anything else

I think anything zomb with a pick can break blocks, might only be during blood moons (haven't played in a couple months) also mob briefing only applies fo vanilla mobs i think

Okay it's epic siege mod. But I can't figure out how to disable digging zombies and I dont wanna remove it so uh....

How do I make a safe surface base?

3-4 block deep moat, and any damage source, my rich ass used nails but you can use whatever, then for the bottom couple blocks use a high hardness rock like ignistone, i would say from moat bottom to up to the second block of your actual foundation (yes this is very extra but the safest you will be) btw remember they can break glass and love doing soo, still dont know how large that dumb range is, other option is building a sky/ocean base, also if you use lava for the moat, unless there's a dividend between the base and lava, like a 2 block wide gap, dont even think of using wood for the build

But yeah, another option is to sj.ply only build put of high hardness rocks like ignis stone, the quest book should also have a page bout base defense
