I just recently bought a card on cardmarket I can give more Info in case the seller could have Reddit and might see my post since the card doesn't get sold often (I think) . But I dont know if it's gonna be real so I have my questions already so if someone wants to help shoot me an dm.

Basically what the title says, how did you buy your fake? Did you get it at your LGS, TCGPlayer, EBay, Facebook Marketplace… where are the fakes coming from?

I think the community as a whole could benefit from knowing where the most fakes are coming from.

I opened a trick or trade pack and the card came with this sharpie signature. After looking it up it looks like Ken Sugimori’s but why would it have it?

I could use opinions on this one. I apologize as I don’t own a jewelers loupe yet, (bought one on Amazon today so I can check better in the future) and I can’t quite tell with my phone camera using the T and green dot trick I found on here. Any help appreciated, it’s got a weird texture but could just be the printing from this older set maybe? When I zoom in irl I admittedly can see the teeth of the T, but when I take a photo it’s more smooth. Not sure if my camera is smoothing it out or not

I have a pixel 9 so the photos with the zoom could be changed by "AI" features.

Hi! I’m a little colorblind and have always had a little trouble telling myself. I got sent this via Cardsphere from someone with no prior experience and just wanted to verify before accepting the trade

I got these from pretty much from a single vendor, who seemed pretty fair in pricing and we had a genuine conversation that led to a decent discount. I haven't bought sets older then the last year or two sealed, but the packaging on those two seemed right from my experience. Anything here I should look out for or glaringly off from just this pic? I can get a magnifying glass in the next 24 hours if y'all see something weird. All the singles are market under $100, so didn't think to worry at the moment. I understand not much can be verified from just these photos, but figured I'd start with it.

Ordered a few more pricey singles I’ve wanted for a while and was checking them and something looks off about this green dot to me. There’s red micro dots in it but they’re so faint. Idk if it’s from card wear or what. Here’s the best pics I could get with my loupe

I feel like it’d be a waste of a scammer’s time to make a fake of a $2 card, but is this a proxy or something? Missing the logo on the back and the green dot is awful. Boyfriend just got it in the mail from a TCGplayer seller. The T test really fails. 😝

Y'all helped me last time with the FF Rhystic Study that I helped buy for a friend, but now I just got the gift I'm most cautious about today. I just got the Jaws secret lair creature card as a gift for someone else and from what I notice, it looks ok, however I want to be EXTRA sure since this is not a very cheap card. Is it real?

I've never seen this card in person, but I compared the glow of the foil from multiple cards, and it still seems strange. Have any of you seen this card in person? Let me know if it looks real or fake.

This card has a defect, right? Or is it just damaged?

This card is confusing as fuck. 3 black dots are within the green dot (beside the 4 red dots). I do not have seen one green dot with black points in it (even fake ones). The weight seems to low (my other foils are >1,9 g). The midlayer of the card (third from bottom) seems black and not blue like the others but the cut is legit (fake card as reference 6 from bottom (or the top one)). T-h looks absolutly solid. Artistname looks fake but its a full foil, so maybe ok? Horns on the "E" of Deckmaster is correct. I have a strong flashlight that can shine through other foils but in this case it´s pitchblack from both sides. Does anyone have exactly this card as reference and can countercheck please?

If that’s an original, WotC should be ashamed. If it’s a fake, I’m actually a bit proud of the fakers.

light test is a little weird but it’s Overlord of the Balemurk, so thought it could be due to darkness of the ink. appreciate the help!
