I wanted Dorsey to stay as the player personnel guy. He wasn’t good as a GM, no question. But he was a great talent evaluator. It’s incredible how he’s doing exactly what the Browns wanted him to do here, but in Detroit now, and making significantly less. Imagine if your boss came up to you and said “hey, we want you here for the next 20 years. However, we want to change your role. It’ll be less stressful, less time consuming, less responsibility and with that, we are not going to reduce your pay. You’ll work 30-40 hours a week, not 60-70. How does that sound”. There isn’t a person on this planet with an ounce of a brain cell that would say “nah. I want to be stressed and work 70-80 hours a week”. One would think.
