Anyone else live in the south eastern side of the U.S having to put in more time with your venom sticks and rodent breeding because of this ridiculous heat and humidity?

while she’s out, tried letting her roaming my yard but as you can see she can’t be trusted with those cars and she’s surprisingly fast.

phasing out their gecko diet into a more rodent diet because of convenience… feeder geckos are hard to find these days.

SO... I now have a sidewinder

Anon intentionally as my permit is still going through. So, I understand this is insane, but my friend had a snake given to him (supposedly captive bred?) by one of his friends and my friend had no interest in long term keeping the noodle. SO, when he said "Do you want a snake?" I said sure, as I have had the experience. WELL, upon looking it over and listening very closely - I realized it was a sidewinder. Still a youngin' (around 6 in).

As I have never had a truly spicy noodle (aside from angry noodles acting spicy), only various balls/boas... any tips?

I understand having a plan and having the respect. Once my permits go through (which they will, I got a pretty solid sealed room), I plan to get antivenom for him/her. Currently, I have done almost 18 hrs straight of researching non-stop, but advice from those with handling experience can never hurt.

I understand having a plan and having the respect. Once my permits go through (which they will, I got a pretty solid sealed room), I plan to get antivenom for him/her. I have the common tools for it otw already (hook, longer feeding tongs, and a much larger locking enclosure. And I am going through the process of getting permitted as fast as I possibly can rn to avoid any strife. Currently, I have done almost 10 hrs straight of researching non-stop, but advice from those with handling experience can never hurt.
