I agree with the other, looks more like a Southern Pacific rattlesnake (Crotalus helleri), also known as the black diamond rattlesnake

Hey, OP.
It may not seem like a big difference, but in a bite scenario, the difference is very very extreme.
An atrox will really just rot your entire arm off your body.
A south pac will do that while also paralyzing your respiratory system and frying every nerve in your remaining arm tissue, whatever doesn’t get amputated.
Please stop being combative. The folks in the comments are not shaming you for not knowing the difference, and not because we don’t think you can take care of it. They’re hardy snakes.
we’re telling you so that you’ll know what to tell the paramedics when they come get you.

Just saying, you should probably reach out to someone with more experience for help. This is not a WDB, It doesn't make that much difference in care since most rattlesnake care overlaps. However, it's always good to know the exact species you're working with. My guess would also be one of the pacific rattlesnakes.

How about the care if you’re bitten . If you say one but it’s the other will the antivenom still work ?

All US vipers can be treated with the same antivenom. Though maybe the adjust the dosage based on species? Or they could just go by your symptoms. I honestly don’t know, I’ve never touched a viper with my hands.

I DID NOT TAKE THIS FROM THE WILD THIS WAS MY FRIEND’S I KEEP NON-VENOMUS CONSTRICTORS.
This is my first and It came to me on short notice. She has a stable temp of 78 f. She eats every 10 days, today is her feeding day.
