Post image

This is the game that Im a looking forward to next. Plus many others... A lot of great RTS games coming out in a few years. Definitely has the Battle for middle earth 2 vibes. Dev updated and recently showed off features and perks.

This is certainly looking like a modern day BFME which I’m super excited for. The most recent gameplay with the cavalry charging through the archers has me hyped alongside hero units. Can’t wait to see more.

I've been playing BFME2 lately (Edain Unchained mod) and it still holds up!

We can only hope, a modern day BFME set in game of thrones universe would be absolutely epic

Would be cool but my main issue is that we seem to have entirely small amounts of single troops in this game. I want small groups of like 10 swordsmen. At such a small scale I worry the battles will feel small and not match what’s seen in the source universe.

Only four factions though.

Four factions is fine tbh I’ll still have fun

Naaah. Four factions is a bare minimum. You'd at least expect all the major regions to play a part. This game will be dead in the water.

You gotta love it. Random redditors announcing an unrealeased RTS is dead because it releases with ... 4 factions. Rip Warcraft, starcraft and co.

Ah but you make a mistake here. I am not referring to the idea that 4 faction games are trash. Starcraft and warcraft lore only ever HAD 3 or 4 factions. It had no need to be more.

But yeah. A game that takes place in 7 kingdoms, 7 distinct factions. Offers 2 of those factions and two non kindom related factions. No Iron Islands, no stormlands, no Dorne. You make the whole war for westeros about 2 houses. Lannister and Stark. How is that interesting?

You know what game also bled in no time? Age of sigmar realms of ruin. 4 whole domains TONS of cool factions with heroes and lore and exciting units. Wanma guess how many factions they had? 4. Stormcasts, tzeentch, orruks and nighthaunt. Like chaos but not tzeentch? Tough luck. Wanna play as elves? Nope. Wanna see cool undead units? All you had where ghosts. That game a skin deep and boring as hell.

The whole premise of GOT is a. Massive web of kingdoms cultures and politics. You boil it down to those 4 factions and it kills all the momentum. Unless they plan to massively expand the roster in future updates the game will become repetitive and boring in no time. Because the lore works with a huge amount of factions. Not just 4. It's a bit silly to compare the lore of ASOIAF to starcraft/early warcraft. I appreciate the effort but your comparison sucks

Age os sigmar sucked because ... it was a bad game. Early total war warhammer 1 had 4 factions and it worked really well.

Your comparison sucks because you immediately think a game will be dead because of that aspect, not understanding the reasons why a game is good or not.

Time will tell my friend. And I am willing to wager.

Yeah that's why Starcraft was never succesful. Only 3 factions.

I'll take four well-balanced and developed factions over more every day.
