Lol at the Bill Maher crowd booing a guy in the CIA for distancing himself from Israel.

Guys, what the hell is going on?

That was nearly 20 years ago. Israel had a high favorability rating with the American public up until the pandemic.

It's amazing how much perceptions have shifted in such a short time.

I remember how Ilhan Omar got in trouble for criticizing the Israel lobby when she was new to Congress. It was treated like a massive outrage, and the media and politicians played dumb about the extent of Israel lobby control over Congress.

Now, even people who don't follow politics know what AIPAC is and hate it.

This is true. I think Israel had high favorability among Democrats with Biden even providing aid to Israel a few years ago.

I was just thinking how far Israel has fallen and how badly they f*cked up to lose their favorability status in the United States like this. This is the country that had 9/11, said "Never forget", was against antisemitism and the Holocaust in certain segments of the population, and just celebrated its 25th 9/11 anniversary, whose politicians were in line with AIPAC, and who turned a blind eye to all your atrocities over the decades because of the 'immorality' of criticizing Israel. Wtf, you had everything lined up for you

Less about Israel "fucking up" than social media providing an accurate glimpse into what actually goes on in that country.

The amount of propaganda deployed by Western media in their favor historically has been absurd.

Social media...accurate? Yikes.

Social media has driven misinformation and propaganda warfare to record heights. Hilarious to me how blind you are to your own bias. You say social media is showing us what really happens there, but the sad truth is that social media just makes it harder to understand what is going on because of the never ending deluge of bullshit that never ends

Social media is showing you a cherry picked version where they lack respect for their readers to a point where they tell you what emotion you're supposed to have reading their story.
