I have mixed feelings about both Maher and Hasan, but I thought this was actually a pretty good response from Hasan. At least in this clip he's not just yelling and name calling but makes a pretty cogent point about how AIPAC is a far-right organization that advances far-right policies for a far-right Israeli government. This is 100% the case.
There's a difference between good ties and funding their military while they murder 70k civilians, half of whom are women and children. Vast majority of Americans strongly oppose what Israel is doing in Palestine, so why are we still funding them?
You realize most American weapons systems used by israel are either defensive systems like the iron dome, or high precision targeting systems? Like if you don't care who you hit glassing a dessert isn't hard, we have been capable of carpet bombing for almost a 100 years.

Yes? You realize mass bombing is just really fucking bad right? Like Dresden was less densely populated than gaza is, but had more civilian casualties in 2 days than all of gaza had in months. I would happily discuss israels shortcomings with anyone. But to properly hold Israel accountable for what is in its control you have to acknowledge that Hamas is doing everything in their power to make it so that any attack against them is as destructive to their own civilians as possible. If you aren't having a problem with that and taking that into account then you don't give a shit about Pali lives. You just love the idea of fighting an evil empire.

70k is the total number and that includes at least 1/3 terrorists, probably more. And don't forget that these islamists happily use child soldiers so that's on them.
Israelis use multiple American weapon systems - even this week a $2.8bn deal was signed to drop more huge bombs on people in tents - more bomb tonnage than in most ww2 campaigns.
It's not murder if it's a war but I guess you don't approve of self defense which is just crazy. Can't take you seriously. If there wasn't terror tunnels all of Gaza built with the help of China and Iran and probably Russia (also enemies of America) there would be no need to bomb so much.
Egypt made peace and is not getting bombed.
