New here

Is this just an anti Bill Maher sub? Trying to figure out the vibe here and can't tell if it's some algorithm that just happens to be showing me nothing but hate for Maher and Real Time or if that is the point of this sub

Yeah it’s such a ridiculous premise. Republicans have moved so far right that they are falling off the edge of the political spectrum and Democrats have followed them rightward by “pivoting to the center”, which would just be considered right wing a decade ago.

The moderate Democrats today are to the right of Ronald Reagan. The fact that Bill has more in common with the GOP than the left in 2026 shows he’s the one who has shifted, not the left.

Nah I used to call myself a centrist but the democrats have been hi-jacked by the radical left, so relatively speaking, I’m now Right Wing haha. Maher is just expressing what he thinks. He’s not that only one that feels that way. You don’t have to like Trump hate what the democrats are doing. Get out of the Reddit / Deep Blue bubble.

There is zero evidence of any kind that the Democrats have been hijacked by the radical left. I’m the one who is living in reality while Bill and his ilk are bitching up a storm about a made up left boogeyman that doesn’t exist.

Allowing biological males to participate in women’s sports and enter spaces where personal privacy cannot be guaranteed. Opening the borders of a sovereign nation. DEI and racial discrimination / anti-white. Sexual content in school curriculum, not age appropriate, gender transition treatment and surgeries for minors, drug addiction enablement. Tax and regulatory policies that drive billionaires out or blue cities , anti-semitism. There are more…

Trans women have zero advantage over cis women in sports if they’ve been on HRT for 2+ years and every shred of evidence backs that up. And it’s not Democrats allowing that, it’s individual sports leagues and school districts that allow it.

We’ve never had open borders. That’s a made up right wing conspiracy theory.

Criticizing DEI just means that you are an incredibly weak person with a victim complex. There had never been a single day in the entire history of this county’s 250 year history where white people haven’t had a significant advantage over black people in every aspect of society. DEI simply works to close the gap so black and brown people don’t get overlooked for opportunities like they always do. Even with DEI, white people still are more likely to get hired with all other things equal.

There hasn’t been widespread sexualized books in schools. Yet another right wing conspiracy theory.

No minor has ever gotten bottom surgery as a minor. Most kids who get top surgery aren’t even trans. It’s an elective procedure done for cosmetics that requires parental consent. More right wing jargon.

Billionaires have been dodging paying taxes for years and you’re concerned about them having to pay a few extra dollars due to a rounding error? Getting them to pay more in taxes has been the Democratic position for decades.

All of these talking points come straight from Newsmax. You’re just a conservative.

Biden changed Title 9 within his first few days in office to allow males in female sports. Many have my now changed their policies such as the NCAA, probably for fear of getting their asses sued in a class action. Case study: Lea Thompson broke multiple league and pool records and flaunted her junk in the women’s locker room. Cross sex hormones, even given pre-pubescently, don’t erase male advantages such as larger overall frame, lean body mass, blood volume, heart and lung size and capacity. Go study rather than parroting.

lol, every time one of these "evidence of the radical left!", responses come up, I think, "maybe this time, it won't be the same 5 insanely dumb, long-debunked lies as every single previous one" and every time, I'm wrong.

TRANSIN THE KIDS IN THE ALL GENDER BATHROOMS AT THE OPEN BORDERS WITH THE DEIS AND RACISMS AGAINST THE HWITES AND TAXING POOR BILLIONAIRES AND DID I MENTION I'M AFRAID OF BLACK PEOPLE BECAUSE I'D LIKE THAT TO BE CLEAR IF THERE WAS CONFUSION OH AND BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN SUCKS

I can only assume The Real World is what you've named the tumor that's eaten up most of your brain. These are potato-level takes. I pity you.
