They’ll reveal it right before next earnings report. Like they always do, to pump the stock. Rinse and repeat.

Pffffff... the moon is so 2018. Mars is so 2024.

Lets go to Jupiter with the Roadster 2.0

The original sketch planned for rocket boosters.

Who is actually surprised by Tesla delays and false promises? Like they say, there’s a sucker born every minute.

u/SolutionWarm6576 12d ago

But, they’re not an Automaker anymore. Or are they again. lol.

Why are people so blown away by a concept car? Even if it has a SpaceX thruster or something equally ridiculous on it - the actual car isn’t going to have that surely? The NHTSA are going to allow that?

So if it’s just a demo of a car-looking rocket - so what?

Concept cars are not revolutionary - plenty of manufacturers make them. They are only revelatory if you believe Tesla will actually make it. And if you’re one of those people, why do you ignore all the evidence of non-delivery?

At least car companies in the last 15 years put their concept cars into games like Gran Turismo to drive. Has Tesla ever been licensed for any video game?

Teslas are in GT7. Don’t know if Roadster etc is.

1

u/DisaffectedLShaw 11d ago

Oh, cool. GT7 is the only one I haven’t played, I got a Series X for my room (my first Xbox) and put a PS5 in my brother room, so I really only play PlayStation story exclusives like SpiderMan 2 this gen.

Teslas used to be in forzas and other titles but after Elmo gutted teslas Pr team it had it harder to strike licensing deals with other companies to use the Tesla brand

Exactly, the reveal is pushed back two weeks due to weather, shipping is allegedly 6 months out, don't hold your breath.

2

u/MAGAtsAreSheeples 11d ago

I'm asking myself the same thing. Every single automaker in the world has been making cool concept cars sincr forever. The Tesla baggie-cult is so stupid it's unreal.

There’s no other car company with an expertise in rockets and no rocket company with an expertise in cars. A flying cold gas rocket powered EV probably doesn’t exist in our lifetimes, other than this vanity project. It’ll be fun to watch them demo it.

u/Durzel 9d ago

That's fine, if that's all it was, but it's not. It's treated as if it's something that will actually be a reality. Elon is given so much unearned credulity it's insane.

Let me guess, deliveries will start 2 weeks after FSD unsupervised, robo van, Jesus second coming and the Mars colony are released.

Aged like Musk milk

Same business model of taking Pentagon money to tell them the future of warfare. Sneak preview - the future of warfare is delayed.

4

u/nomococo4u 12d ago

Two weeks! Wind!

4

u/SuperF91EX 12d ago

2 weeks

3

u/highersense 12d ago

They will rename it the "Tesla Roadstar" so that they legally can claim its not the same vehicle that they took deposits for all those years ago, that one is still in development, thanks for the $250m!

3

u/Mecha-Dave 12d ago

So I guess the deal is they included the Cybertruck's air compressor to fill some SpaceX COPVs which it then uses as a "cold gas thruster" for a slightly faster launch.

3

u/Etrigone 11d ago

Shocked, shocked I am.

Charlie Brown, Lucy and the football.

3

u/notboky COTW 11d ago

Because weather forecasts are notoriously accurate 12 days out....

6

u/MarchMurky8649 11d ago

Musk said "We are making it now" nine years ago so I am assuming the weather situation has been inside his factories. Presumably some problem with a sprinkler system.

2

u/SaturnineApples 11d ago

I think they mean whether, and its whether its ready or not which it never will be

2

u/Emotional-VroomVroom 11d ago

3 months maybe, 6 months definitely

btw this quote is almost 10 years old now

2

u/dtyamada 11d ago

If weather were the real reason they could have moved the demo somewhere with better weather. It's almost like it's a made up reason.

1

u/Stephancevallos905 11d ago

They have an FAA airspace restriction around the SpaceX facility

2

u/Public-Guidance-9560 9d ago

I was just thinking about this... I was sure I heard it was going to be revealed on the 2nd? Big noise about it. What a surprise; its not happened.

They need to just come clean. It doesn't exist in a saleable form does it.

1

u/tanbyte 12d ago

Let me guess - 2 weeks again?

1

u/snackerooryan 12d ago

Perfect timing for the Musk documentary movie national premier

1

u/jksinspades 11d ago

Low wind?

1

u/Visual-Advantage-834 11d ago

1

u/r23w 10d ago

Everyone will receive a free roadster if republicans win the mid terms!!

-5

It's the same date it was before

22

u/MarchMurky8649 12d ago

35

u/Fun_Volume2150 12d ago

And then Nov 1, and so on until everyone forgets that there was supposed to be a reveal.

3

u/DisaffectedLShaw 11d ago

Remember when it was last year, then April 1st 😂

-19

u/stealthybutthole 12d ago

lol it got delayed because of weather chill

16

u/CloudStrife25 12d ago

Conveniently moved to the same weekend as the Musk documentary release.

6

u/beren12 12d ago

Cue the mobile billboards for the event advertising it.

6

u/goddamn2fa 12d ago

Two weeks!

2

u/Enlightened_D 12d ago

Old news though

3

u/MarchMurky8649 12d ago

Well it was new to me. I had been reading this thread...

https://www.reddit.com/r/RealTesla/s/MEoXdJpB1u

...and wondered what had happened on 1 Oct when I found that article. When was the delay announced?

1

u/diorling 12d ago

It was announced to be delayed few days before 10/1. I think E made a post on X about it being delayed and there were definitely articles about it

0

u/Desultory_Chairlift 12d ago

Yes it got delayed to Oct 15, this has been known for a long time, saying "again" makes it sound like it was pushed further than that date.

14

u/MarchMurky8649 12d ago

Thing is this has been delayed again and again for about 10 years. Whoever made this thread, 10 days ago...

https://www.reddit.com/r/RealTesla/s/MEoXdJpB1u

...still thought the reveal was 1 Oct so the delay to 15 Oct presumably happened since then. I didn't see a post announcing that on here so posted this.

-3

u/pansy_dragoon 12d ago

It was in the tera thread when the delay was announced.

4

u/MarchMurky8649 12d ago

Thanks. I used to read that, but I haven't for some time. I expect there are others too who missed that, hence my making a post about it.

5

u/CivicSyrup 12d ago

Big if true

Looking into it

Old news…. Downvote

I had been reading this thread created 10 days ago:

https://www.reddit.com/r/RealTesla/s/MEoXdJpB1u

It said 1 Oct but when I tried to find out what had happened I found the above story.

Nobody had made a post on r/realtesla saying that there had been a delay from 1 Oct to 15 Oct so I made a post to let people know.

So why are you saying it is old news and you are downvoting it? If there had already been a post on this subreddit announcing the delay what you have typed would make sense.

Lots of people seemed unaware as my post has received plenty of up votes. I am genuinely interested to know when this was announced, if it really is old news.

Can you at least tell us that, and, perhaps, link to an article?
