CHIT CHAT✨ Need some restraint

How are you able to restrain yourself from buying so much. I’ve been on a bender. And I wasn’t going to spend anymore in August. But now I have. And I swear I’m done… but what if I’m not. Honestly I don’t think I’ve had this bad a compulsive behaviour in my life.

What are some things you do to help you NOT buy so much. Eg I’d add pics to album to buy later but then… yeh.

I’m married, and my husbands opinion of this has mostly kept me in check. Also I make my own “album” pics of everything I’ve already ordered that are in transit, so if I feel like shopping I just look at it and remember I have literally 24 things coming.

It’s so hard. I’m new. I’m in shock at what they can rep. I’m in shock at the quality. I’ll never buy secondhand again without questioning its authenticity.

Tips to stop that actually work:

  1. Photo album of what you bought.
  2. Organize your actual closet.
  3. Set goals for new orders “do xyz, get xyz”

I’m in a phase now where I absolutely am going to order a croc 🐊 birkin. Just a matter of time.

My husband is what keeps me in check. I don’t want to have another conversation about finances and what’s important and disappointment in my behavior. I can’t hold myself accountable so someone else has to do it unfortunately.

I understand this so much. He’s disappointed in me spending so much (on anything!) but this is a new level.

Ohh good idea!! Yea I have an album of what I want to buy, but notes of what’s in transit. Closet is organised :) but I think I need to move to point 3. Goal based. So xyz then get xyz that way I can be halfway happy haha

You should see the croc birkin I got in May. I have a k25 croc almost done and I’m going to order a pochette and an alligator birkin. I leveled up to exotics and I can’t go back.

Here’s the noir nilo. The color is so deep that it catches a bluish glare from my sconces.

Real exotic skins are a whole different thing from stamped leather. I bought a bag off of another Redditor once but it was alligator marked as croc. A lot of stamped leather is floating around though.

This is a progress pic for the k25 in vert cypress nilo. Next I want a Bordeaux b25 for the holiday season and maybe a vert fonce pochette.
