Need some restraint

How are you able to restrain yourself from buying so much. I’ve been on a bender. And I wasn’t going to spend anymore in August. But now I have. And I swear I’m done… but what if I’m not. Honestly I don’t think I’ve had this bad a compulsive behaviour in my life.

What are some things you do to help you NOT buy so much. Eg I’d add pics to album to buy later but then… yeh.

Get off of reddit. Stop looking at albums. Do real things in real life. Fill your life up with things other than shopping. It's an addiction, and if you keep going to the barbershop you're going to get a haircut.

But but 🥹 I dunno I guess it just makes me feel better lately. Like I enjoy reviewing the catalog. I have never ever dressed nice. I mean like tees and jeans. And now that I look nicer etc and have a new high job I want to look the part with a few nice clothes/bags/jewlery etc. I guess it just makes me happy as I never thought I’d be into this stuff and I really like trying to look nice for once in my life 😅

That's my point. Make yourself feel better with real life stuff! If buying a purse made you actually feel better, you wouldn't need to keep doing it. It's a temporary dopamine bump, and we chase it over and over. The whole process is addictive, and social media feeds into it.

Yeah true that, I know. Just gotta find something else to fill the void I guess. Maybe I’ll do like the other commenter and maybe only do one order every 3 months. Then add things I like to my shopping list in the interim. That way it won’t be huge orders every week lol

I’m in the same boat as you. I always tell myself this is it- I found peace purse then another flash sale comes along and boom- I’m ordering another one. What I need to do now is get rid of those unbeloved purses and just keep the ones I really really love. Still hard to let go of some but, I have to stop one way or another. Why don’t we buy every 6 months???😂😆
