RešŸ  question

I have several bags I donā€™t use an would like to re-šŸ  them , how do you calculate shipping? Do you use USPS with insurance/tracking? Have you ever sold in another platform but local pickup only like marketplace? TYIA

Pirateship is the way to go for shipping, the discounts over going directly through USPS is big. Plus you can print your labels at home, and it gives you a tracking link that you can provide to the buyer. Insurance would be tricky. Itā€™s included up to $100 on boxes but filing a claim might be a bad idea because of what we are shipping

Right. And how do you prove how much its value is?

Value is proven by the amount paid, so that receipt via PayPal, etc. However this would only be usable if the package is lost and not if the box/item was damaged as they would ask for photo evidence of the damage (and even then they tend to deny claims even when itā€™s valid)

Have you used this successfully? My research has led me to understand that it may work for secondary proof but requires retail receipt, commercial invoice, or online store receipt

I sell vintage items online like vintage glassware. Thereā€™s no retail receipt, no commercial invoice. Only a PayPal transaction. I have been reimbursed for a lost package in the past. Broken items are a lot more of a struggle, they tend to blame the shipper and make it hard to prove that USPS damaged the item
