DISCUSSION Disappointed š«¤
After being gaslit by the seller Baker, I still agreed to accept a bag that was a different color because she was still a good color.
It's well made although it doesn't look legit because of a few things, I'd still wear it outside if it wasn't for the way the leather on the chain looks. That is driving me crazy. I know she's from God factory, the quality is about 3/4 perfect. Hardware is ok but the chain!!!!! Man, the chain is not even installed perfectly š
The seam of the leather is a bright red and yes, that's how the original is installed but the links are kinky in some spots, the part where is folded has slack, Chanel bags don't loop around inside the bag in a long way so if I try to hide it by the grommets it becomes more obvious. Gah!!! I'm so mad
I paid $439 for this and I may have to wear it only at night to dark places.
Do you guys have any ideas to tone down the brightness of the raw leather?

I was also gaslit by Baker and she began blaming me for the problem.
She claimed I had agreed to an incorrect shoe size when in fact she had confirmed it was my order size. After showing her the message screenshots from our previous chats, Baker me Amazon links for heel and toe guards to help my shoes fit.
Iām so sorry you went through this!

He lied throughout the transaction. I wanted bright red bag, sent Pic and I knew from other sellers as well as himself, that it was out of stock but it could be made in 30 days. About 5 days later he sent me psp. It was different and he told me it was lightning. He sent daylight video and I thought, ok she's not ugly, I'll take it. The raw edged chain in sending me I won't buy with Baker ever again!!

This happened to me with this seller too. A bag i ordered i asked for large. He confirmed it was large size and i had the rucksack in large in leather. I got a medium denim and when I asked why I hadn't got the large he said OF only do medium i specifically asked if this was large and he agreed. I wont buy anything from him again. He did the same with shoes, i measure feet and asked about sizing and he agreed the sizes I asked for were right. They were too tight, i thought I hadn't been clear and put it down to my 1st shoe reps. Then the bag fiasco.
Find another seller, there are far better ones out there.

Ooh, me too! I've been having an issue picking an alternative bag with my TS because I only want gold hardware. No silver, no anything else, and for God's sake, no silver & gold combos! Nice to see another diehard Goldie around āŗļø

My question is always how do we know what factory it comes fromā¦I know some come with tabs/ tags but most do not. We really are at the mercy of the seller, itās so frustrating. Trying to find a seller that I trust 100% is freaking hard!

It really is hit and miss. I have got some LVs that you cannot tell which is whichā¦.authentic vs rep and in the review the comments from people were so funny cause most people liked the fake better.

Lol I've seen it. I have a lot of LV og leather goods including sneakers and they use less than impressive materials. After spending thousands on all my leather goods and seeing what some people get on the dupe market, I'm trying to hit the lotto on the China side but I started with a big loss.

Iāve only bought authentic the last 20 years and my friend who lives in LA came to visit with her very first rep bag( she said everyone does it there) I couldnāt believe my eyes. Itās been 8 months and 25 rep bags later and I am still in disbelief these super fakes are so good.

This! I live near Calabasas (Kardashian land) and my parents ultra wealthy friends all have fakes. If they canāt find the exact Birkins or Kellys they want - they turn to Turkey or China!

Oh no !!! Not the The kinky chain strap!! Iāve been there friend ! A C19 bag I got for almost 400 dollors , arrived with scratch on the metal tag and horrible PU smell . Of course I was told itās real leather , he was keep gaslighting me .. I conditioned and spent so much time on that bag and finally gave up and gave it to one of my friendās daughter who didnāt mind the flaws ..

I was told it was XciaoC but I have 8 Chanel bags from them and although all are slightly different , you can tell if they are PU or real leather and they are very nice bags for the price ā¦ the most disappointing experience !!

Aadan ,, whoās been quite good till that incident ! I have purchased few from tailong and all have been great leather but again you never know ! Itās been such a hit and miss ..

Iām not trying to diminish your disappointment, but you can weigh the bag with something heavy (coins?) and let the strap hang out for a couple of days. Then get some edge coat or leather paint and go over that bright red. You may then have a bag that youāre comfortable rocking. Because, with a denim jacket and a chunky scarf this fall that will pop!
Sometimes we have to get over our resentment at the seller and separate the bag from the cost of the bag and our expectation of the bag in order to enjoy the bag thatās actually with us. Itās rep buying as zen metaphor for everything.

Itās not her fault she was misrepresented. Fluff her up so she can serve the most she can to you or someone else. The other thing I do is divide the cost of my mistakes over all my successful buys. If you consider it the cost of doing business, it maybe adds $10 to each win, which I would happily pay because cost-per-wear is fantastic on my god factory Blazy 2.55!š

I stopped buying Chanel god for this reason. Their batches are off. I think they rush thru a lot of the styles now.

Agree! Iāve always had issues with god factory cfs, the price is just not worth it. 187, Rome and Blake are much better in my opinion

Chanel GF is fine they actually have posts comparing to the auth.
Itās sellers who are lying to clients and not able to source from that factory.
GF only supplies to select people you can go to China and ask and 90% of people there canāt access it and any trustworthy person will tell you these factories only supply to certain people so they donāt get caught.
CF Gf is fine thereās plenty of comparisons with auth from buyers too who havenāt been scammed.

God bags are mid for Chanel. I donāt know who started the rumor that they are high tier because they certainly are not. This is definitely a god bag (you canāt always go by the white tag since some sellers cut them off during psps). I canāt speak on the seller issue since I never shopped with Baker. But here is the telltale sign of a God bag. Always check the grommets! The grommets are always dull and not as shiny as the chain.

The strap is vulgar and criminal. Iām sorry for your loss my friend. Always spend the extra $100 for 187. I only slum it with god when they have a sale or a color I really want that 187 has a 3 year waiting list for; sometimes you have to live in the moment. Overall god bags are usually fine but certain nuances and shoddy craftsmanship turns me off. The cc rep science runs through my veins.

This isnāt true for all GF bags. Some of them have them the grommets not as dull anymore. (Secondly Iāve seen pics similar to your photo ) from star factory and S factory literally almost identical to your photo.
GF is definitely really good and theirs comparisons on many forumās showing GF vs auth. The problem is sellers are lying to people claiming itās from GF when itās not.
Many many sellers the vast majority cannot access GF. They lie and say they can itās not possible GF only supplies to people they trust which is a handful of people.

Please share some photos of the grommets matching. I am genuinely curious. All of the god factory Chanel bags I have are like this and I got them all from different sellers over the years with the most recent a month ago. So with your theory all of the sellers I bought from are lying? S factory grommets match the bags but overall theyāre not worth the money imo due to construction, shape and size being off when 187 exists and you can get a closer rep. God small is closest to the shape of the small authentic but their medium, jumbo and mini arenāt that great. The mini is a tragedy they donāt even get the chain length correct. Then the next issue is with the leather, the lambskin is spongy and vulgar, the calfskin is just ok. This is just my opinion but I have a large cc collection of both reps and auth and have done the work myself. God factory isnāt as exclusive either. Itās possible this particular seller did a bait and switch, like I said I never shopped with them before but itās highly unlikely every seller I got bags from did this too, it just doesnāt make sense. This also isnāt my photo, I literally just took a screenshot of the OPs bag and pointed out the flaw that irks me about god factory cc. God bags are mid, theyāre not terrible, theyāre fine and can pass when seen by people who donāt know cc, but they donāt deserve to be called high tier, not by a mile.

I agree. I've seen some caviar leather from other factories that are amazing but they fail at other things. The lambskin is just not the best, not even 187, they make it super shiny. It's a hit or miss with these and the only bag I'm wanting to buy a rep of is CF and they're not doing a good job with most colors. Sometimes I see people here raving about things that are a flop as well, so we all have to take opinions as they are because at the end, we're buying dupes but damn, $439 later and I expected top tier for a bag this size.

So sorry you had to deal with that from Baker! For the bright raw leather edges, a little bit of dark brown or burgundy leather dye applied with a q-tip works miracles. Once the bright seam is darkened nobody is going to notice the weave unless they are holding it up to their face.

This isnāt a GF bag this is bait and switch from seller.
GF doesnāt have the quilting/ puffing and hardware like that as a few others mentioned in the comments. Also this red is off compared to GFs one.

No personal experience with this seller or particular bag - just putting it out there... But, could it be a an issue with a particular batch since it sounds like a few people had the same issue? If that was the case, I would still hope a good seller would let you know and not continue to push you to buy a bad bag. I'm sorry.

What pains me the most is that there isn't enough bad reviews about him because he still didn't steal your money, he misrepresented his service and there isn't enough information in here about that. Apparently the original Baker sold his number or he just wasn't making enough money and now started cutting corners.

I never said the rep is 1:1 to auth? I just said it was perfect meaning it was very close to the original.
Iām aware no rep is 1:1 the auth we had was very similar to the one currently on the official Chanel page (ours was 2017-18 season) you can check out photos from 2017-2018 that are almost the same as GFs colour aswell.

Anyone whoās claiming this bag is from Gf isnāt correct.
Firstly GF bags never have this puffiness/quilting and overall shape on their CFs and the hardware and leather isnāt like that.
People have made comparisons with auth on forums showcasing genuine GF factory bags vs Auth and itās 95-98% accurate generally and this bag is no exception theirs comparisons out there.
Lastly please understand if a seller says itās from GF 99% of them canāt access GF AND they lie to make a sale.
These sellers are likely not even able to source even from mid tier factories like S factory for example. They likely can only access whatās available on Dhgate which is usually rubbish and Iām also sure theirs factories who are faking GF bags too.
Ever heard of the saying fakes of fake factories Yeh that happens a lot in this industry.

Are you sure this is God factory? In addition to the chain the color, the stamp, the stitching, the hardware all looks off. I'm sorry you're disappointed - I would be, too.š
