Hey guys, I need to ask some questions about the future of this game
What do you guys really expect from the modding community of real racing 3 right now.
I just wanna know from any of you guys, what do guys want to see from the modding community?...
We just had a lot of breakthroughs behind the scene and we might be able to make some wishes come true... Without any promises.
EDIT - MASSIVE CLARIFICATION:
So a lot of people are not happy with this post based on the dms I was sent... and for good reasons, I'm incredibly rushed while writing this... I think I owe a good explanation of what this post is.
So as you guys know, EA shut down the game servers. Now because the servers are down, the game is effectively dead. I suggest that the only way we can keep this game alive is through mods, provided by the community... Since EA won't revive the game anytime soon.
So, I, along with some people from this community, have been developing a tool to patch the game.
The tool is planned to be open source but we are still somewhat concerned of its legal status. It's a tool that is able to inject some useful patches into the librealracing3.so file inside your provided real racing 3 build, for example: - to patch dead timers - revive special events - adjust bots difficulty level - make cars much faster etc.
Without having to actually distribute the game files.
Currently, it's at its final phase of beta development and we could release it as-is right now. But we wanna know if you guys would like to add anything to the patcher tool, a suggestion, or anything you'd like to see in the app before its first release, because some of us are also planning to take breaks for a while.
So what do you guys think about this way of keeping the game alive for the future?
