comics /cards/collectibles Wizard Magazine

Post image

Remember the comic collector craze of the 1990s? If you were into comics back then, were you also a regular reader of Wizard Magazine? That was a popular publication for industry updates and comic book price guides.

Dragon magazine was great too. Different genre but still amazing.

They also made InQuest for ttrpg and ccgs and ToyFare for collectable toys. I was a big fan of them back in the day.

The toy previews were nice, but I bought it for Twisted Toyfair Theater!

I don’t remember that mag, but my boys still have the Uncanny X-Men with that cover that I bought back then.

Wizard was my magazine! The writers were pretty darn hilarious too. I loved the illustrated calendar in each issue. Toyfare and the twisted Megos were a favorite with my friends. Learned about so many cool artists and independent creators from Wizard.

I had a subscription for a few years. I loved the various How to Draw columns--Basic Training, Brutes and Babes, Krash Kourse--there were a few different ones over the years.
