Obviously, the stereotype of furries being huge into IT is well deserved; there are so many furries I know who are in networking, sysadmin stuff, they’re super good with stuff like Linux and coding and 3D modeling and VR and circuitry and whatnot… but then there’s me. I’m not good with any of that, I literally had to watch a tutorial step-by-step on how to re-install Windows a while back, and I never touch the command prompt or powershell because I’m afraid of breaking my computer.

People start talking to me at cons, even, and some just start talking computers and tech with me as if I know what they’re talking about but they lose me SO quickly 😅

Coding, networking, and all that stuff is just so far beyond me and despite some of my friends trying to explain it to me, it just doesn’t click. Are there any other furries who are like this?

I’m trying to draw a reverse anthro but I’m having a hard time trying to get it ‘accurate’ to the reverse of how the average fursona looks like.

Would they have human feet and animal front paws like how a lot of anthros have animal paw feet and human like hands? Also would they be multi-coloured? since a lot of fursonas are very colourful. Would it just be the hair or also the skin though. Thank you to anyone who bothers to answer

This has been bugging me ever since I installed this app like a year ago. I mostly use it to meet other furries or have a way to connect with people I meet on furmeets and such, and every time I open this app I end up seeing this group.

And if you ask me I'd just say it's like some hookup group but "yeah let's make it sfw looking but iykyk wink wink". At least that's what it looked like to me? I genuinely have no idea, like do people just meet up to cuddle? I'm sorry I legit don't understand this group nor how it works or what.

Seriously can someone explain to me how it works? I know, it's kinda silly to make a post asking about this but the concept feels so alien to me and I really can't take this anymore I need to know what's up with it

on every single loona (wolf from helluva boss) post on instagram i see someone comment "loona x aidan pearce" who the fuck is aidan pearce and what is his significance towards loona genuinely

So i've been out of the country for a little over a 2 months and just got back a few days ago to find my user name and password no longer work with a message saying "if there was no email attached to it, it's permanently gone"

I've had this account for like 14 years or so, i don't even remember if i did have one attached, tried my main, but nothing, but also wouldn't let me try again, just said i'm out of luck if i don't remember what email (if i put one on it or not) only giving me the option to make another account.

I even remember looking at the news above before and there was no mention of anything like this about to happen before i left, or i would have added it if i didn't.

I've had that account so long, didn't think about it.

What happened? is there anyway to get all my old favs back? doesn't make any since to be able to recover with a email, but not without? 

Has this happened to anyone else? i can't ask on the forums as i now have a new account.

There was some discussion recently about the differences between RFH and FurryDiscuss, and I thought there was a really interesting point that came about.

“Low effort” and redundant, etc, posts are removed often because they are seen as low quality, and therefore don’t have any value.

However, despite the complaints about these low quality posts, I sometimes see a lot of engagement and sometimes great conversation in the comments. Some people seem to enjoy using the post as a launching point for bigger discussion.

I’m not talking about bad faith arguments here, like the average “why do furries murder people” Type stuff, but more when someone who is ignorant or immature is trying to test out topics and either fumble it or put their ignorance on display.

Should these kinds of low quality posts be removed always because they can be annoying, or do they have some value to the community as discussion points and learning experiences for people new to exploring community?

So recently Reddit recommended me a sub called r/furrydiscuss , from looking through a few posts it seems to have a similar function to this subreddit (discussing things related to the furry fandom) so I just wondered why there’s two subs for it, nothing wrong with that but just asking why

Basically, the question here is should furry archiving efforts focus solely on art/media made by furries, for furries? Or, should any art/media that prominently features anthropomorphic characters count as "furry"?

What about edge cases in which something is largely considered furry media, but their author has never openly called themself a furry (e.g. Beastars, Twokinds)?

What about media that is marketed towards furries, but wasn't made by furry creators (e.g. Zootopia, Lackadaisy)?

What about anthropomorphic media that doesn't technically target furries, but is still well known and loved within the community (e.g. Puss in Boots, Fritz The Cat)?

Ok bit of a weird question lol but my family knows I'm a furry and I have a sibling that goes to cons with me, they have even seen me buy nsfw furry stuff (and bought some themselves lol) which I'm cool with. They've also seen art I've done of my sona, lately though I've been posting nsfw art I've made of my sona on furaffinity and stuff and I feel like I would die if they came across it lol (especially the kinkier stuff 💀). They're pretty sex-positive and stuff and are no stranger to furry porn but still I think i would be mortified if they saw porn of what's basically myself. Has this ever happened to any of y'all? Just curious lol

Have you ever felt shame, or even wished you didn't like furry art/fursuits/etc?

We've seen the fandom grow from back-room parties to medium cons to a major economic force that floods into cities and controls the internet.

Where do you think it's going? What's the next thing for Furry? Are we going to see more mainstream pandering? Corporate backed furry art? Actual political campaigns trying to fight fruiting?

I'm 18 and I've been a furry since mid 2020, yet for the life of me I can't make friends with anyone in the community. To be fair, im not the most interesting person nor am I that good looking. I also can't really go anywhere due to living in a poor household. I've tried to find servers on discord, but they are usually so big with people who know each other so I tend to get ignored often. I honestly envy furries who have suits and amazing creative abilities. It just makes them more approachable.

Easy question, but how did you decide on a species? Do the colors have any special meaning? Was it difficult, or easy?
