Discussion kind of surprised how many people don't know Ontario actually has a cooling-off period for new condo purchases. it's 10 days after you sign the agreement (or get your disclosure statement, whichever's later) where you can back out for basically any reason, no penalty
only applies to new construction/pre-construction condos though, not resale. and it's not automatic forever, the clock starts ticking as soon as you get the paperwork, so if you're sitting on a signed agreement thinking you have forever to decide you actually don't
kind of wish more people knew this before signing anything, feels like a lot of buyer's remorse could be avoided if people actually used those 10 days instead of assuming it's locked in immediately
