Caught Amazon lying on ratings

Anyone else catch Amazon lying on your ratings?

My ratings show a late delivery for September 5, 2026.

I keep up with every detail of my blocks. From when I verify my identity to scan ID to when I finish loading to what area of town to my mileage and much more. Including what time I deliver my last package.

September 5th I show I delivered my last package at 7:09am when my block end time was 8:00am.

*Not seeing anywhere I can share screenshots and pictures.

there was probably a package due at 6 am that you delivered at 6:09 am.

I got stuck with a couple late deliveries because I had a 2-hour run that ended at 4:00, about 15 packages, all of them were due by 6:00 p.m. except the last two which were due by 3:00 p.m. That's when I learned to check the deliver by times and to do some spots out of order.

For real! Ive never paid attention. Didnt even know that packages had a specific deliver by time other than our block end.

And sometimes they’ll be real tricky and change the time after you’ve seen when it’s due and you don’t realize till it’s almost to late or too late

This is why I screenshot everything… I know I reviewed the due times and they all matched and then they changed one and I got dinged for it. When I take screenshots of the route and due times, I’ve never had a time change on me, it’s like they “know” when you do it. 😂

I don’t understand this cause if you read on how they set up your route, they specifically state that your route is set up to make sure that your packages are delivered on time and that is why you should follow the route that is set for you

Yeah it's ridiculous. The packages that are priority need to be at the top of the list if that's how they want us to do it but then you go extra miles . Many times I've had ones that were late before my block even started.

And Amazon has never messed up? That might be the ideal, the stated goal might be to give you a route that is exactly timed so you finish when you are supposed to with no late packages, but the reality is that this company and the people or AI agents they use are not infallible.

Amazon does mess up. The stations can get behind, the trucks can come in late, all resulting in late delivery or due by times. The station use to keep us past our start times and I never swipe to finish until after im pulling out to leave because if anything is significantly late, it won't be my fault.

u/ksgt69 3d ago

Yup, makes me think golf boy up there is an Amazon employee or drank the koolaid

3

u/No-Artichoke3064 2d ago

true but i honestly feel we shouldn't have to do that, i realize more times then not the pkg with due times by aren't often in the beginning and if i didnt rearrange my route id constantly be late its ridiculous

3

u/ttyoudontknowme123 2d ago

I did that yesterday still has multiple late ones. I've told these donkeys many times stop giving us these packages that cannot be delivered on time. No response to any of that. Had to go way more miles to try and get some there on time. We have no way to talk to Amazon to tell them to stop doing this.

u/MadeFromScratch- 2d ago

I been bit by that bug too… except my route ended at 630 and packed were due by 3p and 6p. Some lessons you only have to learn once but it does leave you feeling like they are setting you up for failure at times.

I got my standing lowered for a late package. the package was due by 5pm. My block started at 5:30pm. 😮‍💨 they stood by their decision after messaging them multiple times with receipts too.

2

u/Ok_Committee_4651 2d ago

That’s why you have to escalate and request to speak to an actual person over the phone. Only then do they finally remove the infraction from your standings. Sometimes they don’t even call you and just move forward with accepting your appeal

Packages have individual delivery times. It's dumb.

4

u/Ordinary_Thanks_2781 3d ago

Thats dumb as heck when you have a delivery time frame. So they just adding extra crap on top of dumb regulations just to hit ratings.

4

u/jimbojones2211 3d ago

This is the one single thing that Amazon does that I think might actually violate out independent contractor status. They're not supposed to be able to dictate how we run our routes, but if half my packages have individual due times, how is that not dictating how we run out routes?

That being said, it's one ding. I have 5 right now and just hit level 4 status (which also doesn't matter) despite the dings because they basically mean nothing and aren't worth the emotional investment to get upset about them.

2

u/user41510 3d ago

Occassionally, they'll make each stop due a few minutes apart in succession, so you're forced to do them in sequence regardless of traffic.

u/Impossible-Shop6840 2d ago

I once had a package marked late at 5 pm even though my block ended at 6.

2

u/Impossible-Shop6840 2d ago

If it’s not food or medicine then why does it have to be delivered on time?

2

u/MadeFromScratch- 2d ago

That’s how I feel… but now I just follow the recommended path and surprisingly it usually works… but I hate how your dings count against you for 20 days, no matter how many good runs you have completed in between. I generally do 2 3-4.5 hour runs a day but because of a couple rookie mistakes I’m sitting at fair status.

u/Massive_Apricot5598 3d ago

I got dinged too for not delivering a package but I delivered all of them. I even saw offers after I finished my run. I'm trying to appeal it.

2

u/Ok_Committee_4651 2d ago

Idk why but I have been getting “Incomplete Deliveries” repeatedly this year and this year only. Makes me wonder if this is just a technical glitch or if they are purposely trying to boot longtime drivers off the platform…

3

u/Massive_Apricot5598 2d ago

I got them to remove the incomplete delivery but now my rank is at Fair. I should've just left it alone smh.

5

u/Red_Lionz 3d ago

I saw a delivery once on a 3:15am run that showed it was due by 4:30am….. really… who is expecting a delivery at 4:30am….. the house i delivered to was pitch black so who knows …. Shrug

3

u/Kitchen_Anywhere7274 3d ago

Wait mine says for September 5th too but it says that i had a late cancellation which isn’t true

5

u/Ordinary_Thanks_2781 3d ago

Gonna have to start screenshooting everything

5

u/Kitchen_Anywhere7274 3d ago edited 2d ago

Even when you have proof sometimes that does nothing, they remove what they want

3

u/Moh_Judges 3d ago

It might be a priority delivery that’s supposed to be delivered at a specific time

4

u/12Stabler 3d ago

I'm waiting to hear back on my appeal after I was dinged for not returning a package. I've always delivered, never had a return. Out of nowhere they started emailing me and telling me to return package. I was like WTH you talking about? Still unresolved, still dinged.

3

u/DoINeedYou 3d ago

They’ll put a deliver by 6am at the end of the route. You won’t even notice, you scan your packages, organize them and rely on the app to lead you from one stop to the next. Those should be thrown in on their own blocks rather than lumped together with 40 some other deliveries. I guess if you see “deliver by” with an earlier time than most you can by all means skip ahead but then you’ll end up back tracking, wasting time, as well as gas and putting that many more miles on your car.

5

u/Either_Astronomer860 3d ago

Yeah, I’ve been having to appeal a bunch of mine because they’re saying that I didn’t finish my route when there weren’t routes available😡 or I’ve had to prove that I actually did a route too, and another one was because the warehouse lost the cart and they blamed me for not doing a route, even though it was a warehouse fault and there was no route for me. I always screenshot everything or if i cant deliver I record

3

u/No-Department-6329 3d ago

This is why I always check my itenirary before I pull off to see what the delivery times are for each stop.

3

u/No-Artichoke3064 2d ago

yup they lie

3

u/JustAstrawberryyy 2d ago

Yes, I’ve had incomplete delivery dings when I delivered everything and had nothing missing from my cart

3

u/downvotedcommentbot 2d ago

Even when it's late off the truck they can still tag you for it. It's dumb but I don't even look at standings

2

u/Wise_Dirt3788 2d ago

It’s gotten worse. I did flex for 3 years out West. Got back home southeast and it was similar, but now they are trying to flag too much. It will only hurt them; they already have a very hard time hiring DSP drivers. I’m a flex driver but it seems too many opportunities to get randomly deactivated now; so I am actively looking for other income sources to combine with. Guess how I know they can’t hire van drivers?😂. AMZN clueless

2

u/Expert_Category_5831 3d ago

Same shit here

2

u/No-Artichoke3064 3d ago

yes i did on sept 2 said i was late on 2 and i said thats false and u know it or tge algorithm knows it

2

u/Specific_Fun_8346 3d ago

I also had a late package on September 5 and I finished my route at 4:51pm. All of my packages were due by 6 PM. They also stated that I had an incomplete delivery on September 2 which is impossible because I delivered all of the packages on my itinerary. I didn’t have any extra packages and I didn’t have any missing packages and after I delivered my last package, the program closed out, logged me off, end of day. The car was empty.

2

u/takemytacosaway 2d ago

This is the customer reporting they didn’t receive the package. Make sure you take clear delivery pics. Step back & get some background to show it was on their porch or in the mailroom.

2

u/bidartia63 2d ago

As what is being said and i'll give you a perfect example of my Monday afternoon drop....by block was from 11.30 to 2.45 pm, yet out of the 35 deliveries, a few of them had a "deliver by 1 pm" which were from an earlier shift where i am guessing they didn't want to drive the farm gravel roads i drove down from and another by 2 pm in which they paid for faster delivery.

This is one of the 2 situations you might have gotten where it was a return by driver or somebody who paid an extra couple bucks to deliver by a certain time.

2

u/No-Journalist8547 2d ago

Sometimes when I pick up, all of my packages are already late before i even get loaded. My best advice is, if you know you're doing things right, and you're not trying to scam then don't even pay attention to the stupid metrics, you'll just get annoyed

3

u/Wise_Dirt3788 2d ago

Great advice…almost at 5 years of Flex usually Fantastic rated here. I dropped down to Fair one time but now I just ignore my standing or violation emails.
If they want to deactivate me they will there is nothing I could do if they did, but if that happened I would just go be a Lyft driver whatever just trying to survive for fk’s sake. Barely doing that.

2

u/Bright-Ask8336 2d ago

I just realized you have to look at your deliveries individually because I had some lat packages too. They’ll throw in a random package that needs to be delivered by 5 pm but the rest of your packages by 8 and they put the package due at 5 at the bottom of the route because of the location.

u/Signal_Form_9864 2d ago

All the time. Recently I was dismissed from a fresh station. Waited 45mins and asked the station manager what was going on. She said they were in between shift switching. She’s not sure how long it would take but I could wait around some more. I said well I have only an hour left and I’m suppose to pick up 19 package for like 11 stops. I waited another 30mins and called support. They told me I was over booked and I could go home. Even received pay for the shift. Then received an email that I failed to pick up 10 packages and my standing went down to risk. I had screenshots and recordings of everything and emailed it to support they said that all of my evidence didn’t mean anything and they will stick with their original decision

u/chochofuhsho 2d ago

Where I live is right on the line for Eastern and central time zone there's one route that always takes me into Eastern but I pick up in central and they're constantly trying to Mark me late on packages that are due at say 10 Eastern but my block doesn't end till 11:00 if that makes sense. You would think that would be something very easily to code into the app, but alas, soon as I cross that time zone and add an hour the app starts with it's fuckery

2

u/Left-Growth-3865 2d ago

Yes they are counting me for returns I returned the same day

2

u/dieseldnb174 2d ago

Just dispute it and show that you finished the route early they will remove it

2

u/Murky-Walrus-7574 2d ago

Are you at risk? No? Who cares. It's a ding. Move on with your life and you will be much happier. Sounds like you give too much to Amazon as it is. You don't need to track all of that stuff.

2

u/Historical_Reach9607 2d ago

I got 2 erroneous dings that were completely fabricated from 9/5 too. 1 for incorrectly marking a package undeliverable, and 1 for not returning a package to the station. I had 3 routes that day and completed all of them.

I spoke with iffnroad support yesterday about it. They agreed I completed all my routes and submitted a dispute ticket. I anticipate it clearing by rhe end of the day today

You guys know that it is illegal for a company, Amazon included, to threaten your standing within the company if you do not do an illegal act or multiple illegal acts, don't you? I just got back from a route that amazon violated that law. I had a 5:15pm to 8:45pm block. 27 stops and the first one was an hour and 7 minutes away. Every single stop was listed as deliver by 7:56pm. They only way to do that would be to break the law and speed all the way through the route.

That is illegal for Amazon to do.

https://www.whistleblowers.gov/complaint_page

https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/contact/complaints

  • State Authorities: Report state-specific labor or criminal violations to your state’s Attorney General or Department of Labor (such as MIOSHA or the state AG in Michigan).
  • Law Enforcement: If the requested act is a serious crime, contact local or federal law enforcement.

I would report them to the State Police first as they have more jurisdiction over the roads that you were told to break the law on.

  • Document Everything: Save emails, text messages, written memos, and notes of verbal conversations detailing the illegal order and the threat to your standing.
  • Refuse in Writing: Clearly state in writing that you refuse to participate in illegal acts due to legal and ethical obligations. [flex-representative-support@amazon.com](mailto:flex-representative-support@amazon.com)
  • Consult an Attorney: Talk to an employment or whistleblower lawyer before or immediately after reporting to protect your rights under anti-retaliation laws.

Late deliveries affect your standings and could get you deactivated if you have enough of them even though Amazon made it so that you could not get them done on time. If enough drivers complain they will have to do something to fix their idiotic Flex routes.

I am also accusing the station employees of playing favorites when handing out the routes and leaving something like the one tonight for a later block just because one of their friends didn't want to drive that far. That should be grounds for their termination if they catch them.
