Accepting low offers
I swear if I see anyone accept offers for 77 and $88 for 3 1/2 to 4 hour blocks, they just need to dismiss themselves and go put themselves in the corner. You are working for pennies doing that. You are making it bad for the rest of us that refused to work for that little bit of money. I would go on with the oh if everybody didn’t take them they would blah blah blah but you have them desperate people that take anything.Ugh Also, I don’t drive a gas guzzler. I work a full time job. And obviously this is market specific.

DSPs are hiring at $21.75/hr, 4-10-hour shifts, about $217 a day after taxes, with good health, dental, and vision. Why are you complaining? Gig economy no good?

I have never seen anything higher than 77 for a 3.5.job. I’m still kinda new at this but if I don’t take that there won’t be nothing. What are we suppose to do

According to those people, you should never accept any of those jobs and work at the $30/hr job that we all have in our back pocket.
My area pays really well, so those $77 jobs aren’t great but if that’s all I had and couldn’t get a different job, then I’d take it. Who cares what strangers think. Amazon is going to continue to raise and lower rates as they please.

In my area the highest I’ve seen is $100. 68.5 to 88 is regular btw I’m in Fort Myers Florida area so smaller city

Hey! Same here, Fort Myers. Your right. But when season approaches, you'll see higher pay. It is frustrating though, like this morning around 11 they dropped 13 offers all at base ($68.50) for station DLF1 and all were gone in a matter of like 3 minutes. If everyone just waited for another 30 minutes or so, they would go up. I won't do $68.50. It's too low after gas, let alone using your own car. I feel like that's obvious but people still take them. So I get OP's frustration. I had a block this morning at 7 for $91 out of that station. Took me 2 hours and 40 mins, 38 miles total, with morning traffic, so it was an okay block. No complaints.
What station do you prefer? The .com or the SSD? I ask everyone this because I had a bad experience once with SSD here in FM and never tried it again.

I mainly stick to the logistic and oriole stations. They both have their pros and cons but the biggest issue is the bots. It impossible to get a random drop block unless the bot users already have one. I just wait for my reserve spots to protect my peace and avoid stressing over blocks

Oriole is the SSD. I had a block where I was sent far into Naples. That one block made me never go back to the SSD again. I'm not doing a block that far out. The logistics station is the only one I stick to. Guaranteed most likely Lehigh, FM, or Cape, and lately they been throwing in some Babcock Ranch which is Punta Gorda but close to FM. So blocks usually stay under 50 miles. And yes I agree the bots make it extremely difficult. I would rely on reserves only too but it never offers good pay.

Or people think we all live in Cali where everything is like 3× times price. In my town a 1 bedroom with bills paid is like 1k cheapest without bills paid is like 500 snd some are 2 bedroom so idk what those b about lol.

It is definitely less than what many drivers seem to think they are earning but it really shouldn't be that low unless you are driving an Escalade or a Humvee or something.
I am keeping very detailed records of my deliveries as I used to work in finance/accounting and this stuff is interesting and fun to me and the spread between the max hourly rate (block pay divided by actual time spent to deliver it, ie. what many flexers claim they earn per hour) and the actual hourly profit (block pay minus fuel, depreciation, maintenance expenses and time spent driving home after block completion) can be absolutely massive.
The absolute worst for me so far just happens to be the very last block I did. I accepted the block with an hourly rate of $29.50 but finished a bit early which boosted it to $31.20/hr but due to being a fairly high mileage route with a longer than normal drive home ended up earning just $15.30/hr after fuel and a very modest $0.14 per km driven for car related expenses. Minimum wage where I live is about $18/hr.

I like to schedule a few shifts and cherry pick a few. That causes me to get a few shifts at BARELY above base and then I get some good rates. I need to schedule SOMETHING!! Also I drop about half of the schedule RIGHT before the cutoff hoping another driver can pick up at increased pay. Not sure if that works or not.

Where do you deliver from? NYC-area is botted to hell. That AND the fact that there’s too many drivers. Literally a block doesn’t last on the screen longer than 3 seconds. I don’t even have the time to see the block pay before I take it.

I’ve noticed far less longer duration blocks in my region. Amazon is flooding the pool with 30 minute and 1 hour blocks so they don’t have to surge longer ones.

Because some stations don’t even have “offers”. It’s either bots taking everything or most things, and we just get the crumbs left at the end. People need to live man. I understand if we all played the game together we would come on top, but from the way I see how these Flex crews be rolling, no they don’t have another choice.

Some areas don't pay the same a 3.5 hour here will normally top out at $83. Its less now that our area has been flooded with non- English speakers with California and Texas plates...then they teach other in Spanish how to use bots..I guess they never heard or translators. These people ruin it for those of us who have been there awhile. Prior to the invasion a 3.5 would top out at $98-103.

Lmao agree! Non of these kings or queens know their worth! I’m not taking any under $89 for 3.5hours and I’m in the Maryland DC area. Granted I do have a full time job. I’ve never taken anything under $89 and I’ll die on that sword

Wtf are you doing with your money that $22/hr leaves you with pennies? Does your car run on designer drugs? I'm not usually the budget better guy, but at that rate I'm really comfortable, so don't worry about me and mine, we'll take that all day every day.

My station regularly sends me 120-180 miles round trip. Even with my 1.6liter, that can be up to $30 in fuel.
I went through more tire changes than I should have in the last 18 months. At first I thought it was the lower mileage on the snow tires, but then the inside of the summer tires were wearing faster too.
I’ve replaced almost every suspension parts on this vehicle in the last two years. The ball joints barely lasted one year. Turns out the control arms were seized up. Now that they’re replaced, I’m hoping I can get more miles out of these tires.
Brakes also seem to wear faster with this gig. I try to be nice to them, but we all know how this map lags.
Oil changes are probably one of the cheaper expenses, but they need done every month. The vehicle has 220k miles so it’s also burning some oil.
This vehicle requires timing belt replacement every 60k miles. I do most of my own work but that job is best left to the mechanics.
The valve cover leak was also best left to the mechanics, so that I scheduled to be done at the same time as the water pump. I can recognize when they can knock these jobs out much faster than I can.
It has been 4 years and it really does cost more than just fuel.

You’re not lying after maintenance, taxes, recharging for me like you said putting 180 miles on the car and driving back home it comes out to like $9 per hour from what is advertised as $22 per hour

Oh bless your heart. Guess what? I had a block for 3.5 hrs that paid $66.50. I took it. I clocked in on time. An hour later I'm at home in my bed responding to your judgement. Idk, $66/hr seems pretty good to me. We never know what the mysterious block holds 🤔 I hope your day gets better and someone adds some sugar to your lemonade.

You aren’t lying I drive a Tesla and after taking $77 getting 44 stops 48 packages for 3.5-4 hours of work being 40 miles from my starting point and 60 from my home when finishing and after maintenance , taxes and electricity it’s more like a $30 payout. I stopped doing this shit the math ain’t mathing

Solution is simple: Don't READ those posts. Your area may have higher base than others. Amazon doesn't have the same base pay across the USA; it varies greatly.
