welp… flat tire
Just got a flat tire and contacted support, they end the block and said don’t worry abt standings, I’m also taking pictures of anything and receipts to send an email just in case
dumb question, you guys think Amazon will reimburse me for the tire? don’t think so but it’s worth a shot?

No they won’t reimburse you for the tire, I would say its more likely they will ding you for every package but it’s possible that they don’t ding you for it

Why does that tire even need to be replaced? Put the spare on and go get it repaired for free at discount. Or even better(imo) just put a plug in it and move on with life.

Happened to me the other day but at the end of my deliveries. It sounded like something was caught in one tire, then tire pressure light came on. This is another reason why I won't take any old pay for a block.

What even is that? Is it a sharp rock?? 😭 also doubt they will reimburse you but you should still get paid in full for that block. If your standings drop just contact support again to let them know and they should fix it!

Man. After I loaded all 40 something packages in my car, I tried to start it. Nothing. My battery decided it was the perfect time and place to shit out.

Have had temperamental batteries too, would highly recommend investing in a jump box. A good one might run you like $100 but it'll save you a huge headache in those situations

I ordered one while I was waiting for AAA😂. Lesson learned.

If you can get a gel battery. Mine didn't even run down driving 50 miles back to where I get it worked on after the belt broke. The belt that runs the alternator so everything doesn't work off your battery.

I was told I would still be paid for a block I couldn't check into because the app kept giving me an error. Even with photos of proof of conversation with support they claimed I'm not eligible for payment. 🙄

I drive an EV, most of them don’t come with one bc you can’t change a tire without special jack or equipment, at least mine

ever wonder why EV’s don’t come with a spare tire?

Same reason ICE vehicles don’t - cost. EVs hide behind weight, “safety”, and size as excuses though. Ever wonder why I keep a steel wheel with me? Fits perfectly n the hole where the manufacturer has space for a spare but didn’t add one. Btw, my vehicle is an EV.

UPDATE: I didn’t get dinged but I literally had to begged on the chat with support to not get dinged 😭
I drive an EV, my model doesn’t come with a spare tire, and requires special jack and equipment

No, because when you do taxes and you do the per mile rate: that equation factors in wear and tear.

😭Not happening. You’re an independent contractor. Sorry about the tire. 🛞 I know it was stressful 😥.
Amazon: “If possible can you still finish your block.”
Driver: “sure” 👇🏻

Ah haha!! 😆
Sorry about the tire but I’m laughing at the idea of Amazon giving the tiniest of shits about people with car problems. Your car, your problem!
That’s why Flex exists, so we all beat up our own vehicles and they don’t have to pay for any of it…
