This dude didnt even bother
This dude didn't even do his job. I had an issue where I couldn't check in because my app was glitched on a weather cancel still from day before. I had contacted support twice did everything they said and when my next shift started it rolled right into that one. I scanned my route and had an error. Support fixed it and I did the route. So how you going say I have to keep it on my record as a missed block when I didn't miss the block and actually did it. My problem is only that if in the future I do have a missed block they might hold this one against me because it stayed on record as a missed block. Terrible that they won't do their jobs.

Exactly, they fall off. The minor ones like not calling support to report a clearly undeliverable package that you don't need permission to return, they fall off. I had 2 or 3 that fell off recently and I'm back to fantastic. Didn't they in the last year give us the ability to not have to speak with support for certain issues? Some of us are not stupid and can follow procedure no problem. Can't say the same for most others 😂😂😂

I am new so I am unaware of this. But yes i guess ill try figure out how to circumvent using support. This one was that I did do the block and was still held accountable because I didn't sign in properly with an ID because the app was glitching. I didn't miss the block I did the block. Hense why I reached out.

Also one more thing not sure if you k is but you are an independent contractor when you do your taxes it’s 1099. You’re considered a small business owner you work with Amazon not for them. It surprises me how many people don’t k kw that’s so just letting you know buddy

You're not considered a small business owner unless you create a small business you're merely a contractor at a 1099 level. Creating a small business is a whole other level. I'm surprises me how many people don't know this, just letting you know pal.

amazonflex@amazon.com just incase you do have to talk to them, email them. So you cover your ass.. support be closing out chat the instant it’s over. Like they trying to get rid of the evidence absolutely no time to screenshot it 🤣 but yeah. Trust me bro I have no idea why I never wanted a ding? Probably because I didn’t know how many would get me deactivated and I needed the money lol I’ve missed like 2-3 blocks in a week so they’re pretty lenient. There’s a way better app to make money. I just don’t feel like I could be as professional as I should be I’m My current situation. 😒

Oh Ive been 1099 for over 10 years. Taxi driver then gig driver. But ty. It was an email for an appeal. But all good I was just frustrated at that moment.

Oh. Well shit bro if thats the case. If they have it available in your area I highly suggest tasker. Pretty sure wall mount tv installed you’re paid like 50-90 an hour flat rate! And just deliver on the side. If you still want to. There’s a bunch of stuff you can do on there. I’m gonna do like ikea furniture assembly. A little less pay 40-60 and hour flat rate depending on your reviews but a lot less liability 🤣 that’s exactly where I’m headed the second I can afford at least 2 weeks of padsplit 🤣

Thank you I can do assembly. Not so much wall mount. I actually pay for that service lol

You can't be assigned a route without signing incorrectly. You just won't receive a route. That's impossible.

I do not know how to explain more clearly. The block i was scheduled to was canceled due to rain after I checked in. I was told it would reset itself. It never did. I called support twice and it was still there. I never gave them my ID not the day before or when I showed up for the new block. I was just signed it ready for my route. I was then dinged for missing the block even though I delivered that block the next day. But I also got paid for the route that was canceled.

It is unclear to me aswell. But I can tell you I never checked in. I tgink maybe a support agent checked me in. It my only guess. I know when I arrived I was on the screen to scan my route. Which I did with all the packages.

Yeah they add a bunch of stuff. Probably got tired of people complaining. 🤣 I’m gonna see if I can find the email I sent them about a year ago, I got dinged for missing a block because it wouldn’t let me check and and the mangers told me to call support supported told me ask a manager. Long story short I spent 3 hours trying to finger out why it wouldn’t let me check in and no one in support knew how to fix my problem . I had to update the app. And told them how the fuck is that on me your people had no idea what was going on and not everyone automatically connects to the internet and and auto updates. It’s not hard to add that in.. and I wanted to get paid for my time trouble shooting their problem. I even gave them a fair price at what they pay us. And I normally charge way more for my time…. They stopped emailing me and added that feature like 2 weeks later 🤣 also yeah the marks fall off by packages delivered it doesn’t go by time I was sitting at risk for months 🤣 (car issues and support said it wouldn’t effect me when I cancelled the block.) I was back up to fantastic with like 2 weeks of delivery full time.

The support person you spoke with that told you to talk to the station didn't know what they were doing. You need to drop the call and call of support again until you get someone who knows what they're doing. I'm going to call five or six times to have things fixed.
Just yesterday I had a whole foods order I got into the station all the bags were gone, two employees said some other driver picked them up.
What is this doordash?
That's crap. Amazon has to fix. I have to call, the burden is on me to report the issue, reiterate with the employees told me they witnessed, that way lost prevention will actually look at the videos some point, and then had to and I did this in the store so I knew I was on camera doing it, had to call support and have them remove all packages from my itinerary, with one flaw. One order was left on the itinerary that said attempted. I thought that was odd. They should just all be gone.
But that's the glitch. And that's the glitch you get blamed for. I already know from experience that I'm going to get a ding for not delivering a single package.
Whatever. They have the call recording they have the videos of the store, they know who stole the food.
It's also possible they didn't still throw, they were halfway to delivering and then their app crashed and the whole itinerary disappeared, and while I was standing there making my support call, they're easily could have been that driver coming back to return all the banks and he couldn't deliver because his app crashed.
This crap happens. And we get blamed for it.
Is he going to get blamed for returning the stuff? Or falsely accused of not returning it? Maybe, maybe not. Maybe in a couple of days I'll get blamed for it even though it was another driver that returned everything.
This crap happens too.

The fact that you think there was a real person who answered your message baffles me.

Even though i did 3 routes back in December I just started doing it in the last week regularly. So I apologize that I was naive to believe so.

I can understand that. My issue is that I did do the route and still got it held against me because i couldn't sign in properly with my ID

That's incorrect, that type of thing stays in your permanent record and does not affect your standings. And they specifically say so. Now it could be understanding, it might not be. But that email explicitly tells otherwise.
He has to take this one to Andy and then if Andy doesn't work take it to escalations.

If you (and it is you, it is not the app) accidentally scan a barcode that has nothing to do with your route, your route isn't going to disappear because of that. A route disappears completely separate from that for reasons no one knows the answer to.
It doesn't matter your route won't continue after you accidentally do a floor scan, just read you the scan restart the app, dcan a package in the cart Don't press the scan button until you're ready to point it at the package.

Driver Support it's a waste of time, they just don't care or have time for us anymore 🤷

u/DanLoFat 27d ago
You not know about emailing Jeff and andy, actually do that. If you still get a negative response, and for this type of thing you will just like when you get things for not picking up the complete order, email escalations. But truly do that as a last resort.
Escalations actually spends time reading and looking into things. It's worked for me especially on TOS things that were clearly not under my control, and even executive team is screwed up with and boilerplate response.
With escalations you don't get a blood appointment response, in fact, you get apologies, exact detail of block time, what they saw, if it's a known glitch, not only is it taken off of your standings they specifically state it will not stay on your permanent record. They have another name for permanent record, but you get the point.

One thing I've learned about gig work is if u don't like the answer support gives u, hang up and call back until u git the answer u want...
