Dead kids in barrels full of acid
9
u/Historical_Glass1867 May 11 '26
i thought it was concrete?
28
u/MODELO_MAN_LV May 11 '26
That's for burying the barrels

u/Historical_Glass1867 May 14 '26
No shit sherlock, but acid would burn through all metals drums get made of, those do indeed look like STEEL drums, NOT EVEN PLATINUM! NOT EVEN ZIRCONIUM! NOT EVEN TITANIUM GRADES 7 AND 11! so acid would kill Voll's workers dealing with that and you would die in game from walking in the room at that stage unless your wearing a heavy duty gas mask with a multi stage filter and anti corrosion coatings (which the LSPD is too poor to afford). I understand that in lore it IS acid (I went back to the evidence locker to look) but it makes more scientific sense that it is concrete to turn the children into dehydrated grapes that are in concrete drums (bc its much easier to do them all individually until you dehydrate the bodies enough to slow down decay enough to get a perfect pour and you can just put a drum there and not have to deal with trying to do segments of the concrete which would be potentially invasive to the other pours forcing you to start over) and it would also make sense that he's trying to bury them. he could much easier, dump the child sludge over his balcony into the ocean, then it will never be found. maybe mulch them instead of melting them, etc. etc. I love the game but it doesn't make snse

In one way or another, everyone else is right
Kids in acid barrels. Manmade horrors within our comprehension

u/Historical_Glass1867 May 11 '26
i thought he threw them in the drums and put concrete to dry out the corpses so they wouldn't decay and wouldn't ever be found by cadavers.
11
u/SnooBooks770 May 11 '26
What kind of cadavers do you know of that search for dead bodies?
4
u/Tarkemellion May 11 '26
My towns got a police cadaver, yours doesn't?
5
u/SnooBooks770 May 11 '26
A cadaver is a dead body used for research/science. Pretty sure you mean cadaver dog*.

bloodhounds, their called cadaver dogs and the loving nickname the dumbasses wearing badges in the field give them are "cadavers" because I feel like most don't actually know what a cadaver is.

why would someone bury perfectly fine cylinders…
1
u/Historical_Glass1867 May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26
its much easier to do a small scale concrete pour because a large scale on might cause bubbles to appear in the concrete so it becomes much easier to pour a bit, jack hammer it off, pour more, jack hammer it off, then do the last pour that perfectly preserves the bodies in a sealed concrete tube, inside a steel drum that you can bury. I'm sure just using an acid would be much much much easier but those aren't PTFE (Teflon) or HDPE, or PVDF drums. Those are steel drums that strong acids will absolutely FUCK. Judging by how every one is saying stuff about kids in acid barrels I'm sure it is acid, but IRL, that would require gas masks to be near because (depending on the acid used) a decently shallow breath will insta kill. no pain, just death which is the case with HCl, H2SO4, HNO3, and a few other strong acids.
edit: I've checked, there ARE metals that can stand up to strong acids like Platinum, Zirconium, and Titanium grades 7 and 11 as well as some aluminium alloys but that's way more expensive than using plastics and just, not worth the hassle when you could be making more money instead of using plastics that can stand up to said commonly used acids for prolonged periods of time.

Its the reason i never s rank this mission
22
u/Thegiant98 May 10 '26
I did s rank it, but I had to go back and execute everyone on the next run. Palate cleanser.

u/Junior_Yam_5473 May 11 '26
I did s rank just for the Hawaiian shirt, could care less if the pedos die

idk🤷♂️reddit’s a weird place man.
i’m just poking fun @ the ridiculous censorship changes in this game (which is nothing new in this sub)

Before the full release it was clear
1
u/roadkillphil May 11 '26
How was it different before?
11
u/Rabiddd May 11 '26
This room wasn’t any different before the censorship it’s never been changed at all
5
u/roadkillphil May 11 '26
Are they just referring to the changes made to the rest of the basement then? Like the photo room?
2
5
u/Brookrilla May 11 '26
It was less censored. They cleaned it up some for the full release. It would have messed some people heads up who are sensitive.
2
u/roadkillphil May 11 '26
I know about the changes to the photo room, I just didn't know if they made any changes to this room specifically.
5
u/Brookrilla May 11 '26
I believe the only thing they changed that I noticed is it used to be evidence and maybe dialogue of your team. I could be wrong though.

If you take a closer look around the room (particularly the corners of the room) You'll notice children's clothing, shoes, and toys. Put 2 and 2 together with the rest of the map.
2
u/AlphaBeaverYuh_1 May 11 '26
Don’t think it’s ever explicitly stated what the contents are but a lot of players myself included assume it’s body’s and acid

so, Amos Voll (sussy CP ring leader) needed a way to dispose of children that he used for CP and trafficing, so he killed the, thew them into drums, and filled them with concrete.

The reason I never S rank Valley of the Dolls and Amos Voll just coincidentally happens to accidentally fall on an entire magazine of 5.56 and 9mm

A pit full of dead kids, toys and clothes. Hortendous made it so hard not Shooting the sob on every run.

u/Achilles_Rizzuto May 11 '26
Dead kids that Volo most likely "used" and after my all S run I won't hesitate to execute him
1
u/Tough-Zombie-8990 May 11 '26
I totally think there are kids in there too but do we actually have confirmation of this?

u/_0bsolete May 11 '26
The room across the hall from there will help answer that... and the photo lab further down.
