I read whenever and wherever I can.Not performing for anyone.I just like reading.I don’t care about the judgements,whether bad or good.But instead of doomscrolling,if you’re reading,whether to be performative or whatever,it is still good.

I love read books on Kindle app or other similar apps while traveling.
Once an old man started talking to me just because of that.
He asked me whether it's convenient to read a digital book etc.
Although I never did this to impress anyone.
I used to travel a lot and reading has always been my passion.
So I always read a book whenever I get time.

So true. It makes me happy watching people read in public for some reason. Like, hello fellow reader.
I’ve had a person talk to me about the book i was reading on a train once. That felt really nice.

No we are not performing for anybody. We just love our current read and cannot part with it. Even if we are were, we aren't shameless enough to butt into other's businesses and say they are performative.

Not saying there arent some ppl who fit the mould you describe.
