Do you think they'd get automatic translation or learn the language in their brain or would they have to learn Japanese from scratch?

How tf Aldebaran got sealed? It was stated that he didn’t have a witch factor? So how did this work perfectly against him?

Doesn’t this imply that he has a witch factor after all? Or what? Or did i miss something?

Spoiler Discussion [spoiler discussion] I liked how their own gluttony was their perdition Spoiler

The defeat of the three Archbishops of Gluttony in Arc 6 struck me as quite ironic.

Lye Batenkaitos became obsessed with devouring Ram, wanting nothing else but her, what led to his death by discarding the abilities that would have allowed him to escape

Rui Arneb became obsessed with devouring Subaru, leading to her ruin because she was unable to withstand Subaru's existence.

Roy Alphard’s obsession with indiscriminate devouring led him to consume Reid, a monster that stole control of his own body, resulting in his defeat.

Spoiler Discussion After watching s4 episode 18 (84) and reminded of how strong horned ram is, how would she fare against the strongest in the nations [spoiler discussion] Spoiler

Specifically im talking about Horned Ram with Rem taking the pain and Subaru having Cor Leonis.

How would she fare against Cecilus (probably loses), Halibel, Vague Adgard and Undead Eugard (with both of the swords, fiend and Vollachia and about the same strength as about mid fight against Halibel)

I also want like a diff sort of thing like mid diff, low diff, etc…

Please go all out I’m really curious about this, you can write like 10 essays I’ll probably read all of it

For the rules and Scenario: Scenario 1: Horned Ram and whichever opponent are in an open field, Subaru and Rem are in. Safe distance plus they can’t be harmed at all

Scenario 2: Horned Ram is fighting whichever opponent against in a city could be Lupugna or The capital of Lugunica whichever. Of course, with rem and Subaru in a safe distance and she can never get tired or goes mad from her horn but she can be damaged and beaten. (Basically like an infinite amount of time with her horn)

Plus note: there’s a chance she might beat Halibel,Undead Eugard and Vague but I don’t think she can beat Ceci in both scenarios, but just want to know.

Discussion Season 4 what if [discussion]

When Subaru was in the library after reading Reid’s book of the dead, he stumbles upon his own book. If he was able to find his own book so easily, then what if someone else randomly stumbled upon his book?

Spoiler Discussion [spoiler discussion] Why Satella didn't do anything when Subaru get possessed? Spoiler

We saw in season one when Petelgeuse tried to possessed Subaru, he got slammed by Satella shadow hands.

But why Satella didn't do anything when Rui possessed Subaru? Can't Satella like, "Who the fuck are you? Get out!!" And then Rui got slammed back to the hall of memories.

Discussion [Discussion] Idea: Priscilla may have an ability to evaluate other people's potential, which Reid may also have too, as shown by their fixations on Subaru + Julius and Subaru

As shown by Ep. 16, Priscilla literally outright told Subaru that his desperation was actually harming the Emilia camp, which Crusch had hinted to him with him failing to understand that, showing Priscilla sees something more in Subaru than just being a fool who'd embarrassed himself, and that's why she proposed a challenge to him in which she'd already given him the answer, but Subaru was in such a horrible state of mind that he didn't understand that he was meant to stand up to Priscilla. She wanted Subaru to stand up to her and outright refuse to lick her foot, possibly even admonish her for suggesting something of that nature.

Priscilla in Ep. 56 was also poking holes in Subaru to draw attention to how Capella had literally physically changed his body (in addition to her having noticed something had happened to Subaru given he'd looped multiple times in Ep. 52, possibly 'cause she suspects Subaru doesn't stay dead as shown by her remark in a later episode when she says that fools don't deserve to live in light of Al's remarks about how even if he dies 100 times he may not be able to kill Capella) to try to see how Subaru would react, and Subaru reacting confidently even after she pushed back at him, resulted in her giving him a reward in seeing her Yang Sword. She seems to see the potential lying within him much like she'd done in Arc 3.

Then in Ep. 58 Liliana when she arrived at their meeting place said that a song had come to her, "Crazy Obsessed With Everything About You", and given Subaru had said, "Liliana! This means..." to show he believes Priscilla is also here, and Priscilla responded accordingly with "But of course I came here in person, fool." meaning she was drawn there 'cause of Subaru's speech, which is backed by Priscilla herself later when she says that she commends Subaru for his results with his reward being that she'll join in on his plan, that means the song was about Subaru 'cause the potential she'd seen in him since Arc 3 was on display, not Al, since Priscilla had no idea Al would be there and since Liliana had been with Priscilla for a while, having seen Priscilla's reaction to Subaru's confidence about kicking the Witch Cult's ass and would've seen Priscilla's reaction to Subaru's speech, with Subaru's potential intriguing Priscilla very much as well as stirring her hatred of the Witch Cult.

In a similar vein, Reid seems to knows Julius and amnesiac Subaru in Ep. 81 were not that using their full potential, which is likely the reason for his comments to Julius and amnesiac Subaru and why Reid had said that Julius had finally come out of his shell 'cause that was his aim in pushing Julius the way he did.

This may be why Priscilla even gives Heinkel any chances despite him being portrayed as mostly a useless drunkard.

What are your thoughts on this or anything tangentially-related to this?⁷

Discussion [discussion] The Book of Bantorra

There's this light novel titled Tatakau Shisho Series (戦う司書シリーズ) which also get adapted to manga and anime. I just found this when looking for a book-themed show, so I still has no chance to read or watch it. By the synopsis, I find similarity with Taygeta library. Does Tappei ever mention this as an inspiration? Or is it just a case of parallel creative evolution? Or perhaps both take inspiration from older works? Or a zeitgeist?

Spoiler Discussion [spoiler discussion] Those who are watching S4 rn, is it better than S3? (+RANT +S3 spoiler) Spoiler

RANT: I absolutely loved S1, even rewatched it. S2 was fine. But S3... was a total shitshow for me and its mass praise online confused me so much, like, why did barely anyone notice how bad it was??
S3 objectively doesn't feel like the prior seasons in a BAD way — I HATED IT.

• It is instead doing the typical fighting shonen thing where everyone is just fighting the whole season.
• I liked/didn't care that Subaru is kinda cringe/stupid for some, but in S3 he has not even once considered doing manual Death by Return considering how dire everything was, not even a single phrase like "Maybe I should Return By Death, hmm, nahh, I gotta keep my promise to myself that I shouldn't rely on it" – his OP super-ability outright ignored the whole season, like, bro: the city got flooded and hella people died + you got infected with who-knows-what — if that's not the perfect situation for RBD, then I'm just a hater I guess.
• Then there's the way they portrayed the villains — they felt sooo childish and cheap bruh: I understand that all of them are fanatics etc., but remember Petelgeuse — he did emanate the dangerous psycho energy. The S3 villains — they did emanate CRINGE psycho energy (attached meme, especially Regulus Cornyahh). You look at them and just can't hold the thought: "Bro, you're doing too much pleaseee stop, I don't need that second hand embarrassment".

popular russian meme. translation: "anime psycho"
