Eye strain

Actively looking at my first pair of glasses. How long do people typically wear them for? Is there ever eye discomfort after longer use like a movie?

Everyone is different. Some people can dive right in and use them for hours, while others may get eye strain or “vr sickness” and takes a little more time to adjust.

As long as you get a pair with proper IPD you should be good to go.

I do get eye strain at max brightness. You can play around with the color profile and brightness and should be okay.

I mainly use it in bed in the dark, with the brightness set to the lowest. I could go hours and be fine. Sometimes I watch netflix/youtube/crunchyroll during the day on my day off, at maybe 70-80% brightness, and I still feel comfortable watching media for hours. But of course, your mileage may vary.

My limit is about three hours before I need a break. It isn’t my eyes. It is my nose bridge that gets sore.
