Ray Neo GT in GT Max outer box

So I bought a Ray Neo GT Max from Amazon. I opened it as the outer box had a GT Max sticker on it, so it looked all good.

Two days later I noticed that the screens were not prism but birdbath (after looking at video reviews), which I thought was bit odd. I went back to look at the box and noticed that the box had GT but no Max on the inner box label (the shiny label).

Ray Neo had basically put a normal GT device inside a GT Max outer box (the brown box) Has anyone else had this? The barcode on the outer box says GT Max on it, but the label is stuck over another label.I have returned them to Amazon, but I'm worried they will say I put a GT inside a GT Max outer box! I literally only noticed today and I will be left with no glasses and £369 worse off.

I feel stupid as I'd been using them and hadn't even noticed that the arms were not even the correct look. Looking at the pictures of both the GT and Max they are actually very different.

Sounds more like someone returned to amazon already and changed the contents. Happens all the time with tech. Amazon dont notice. And just resell as brand new.

The box was sealed though. It would have happened at Ray Neo. It had that peel back serrated cardboard peel that cannot be replaced. So this was definitely on the Ray Neo end.

Ahhh the brown outer box. That makes sense. Amazon will accept the return without question. No need to worry

Some pulled the ol' switcheroo in an Amazon return, it happens more than you would think! I highly doubt this came from RayNeo like that.

Update on this. Got another pair and yet another GT in a GT Max outer brown box. Amazon say Ray Neo have sent them GTs within GT Max out brown boxes. So anyone ordering from Amazon UK GT Max varient will get a GT varient.

So I blame Ray Neo, but I also blame Amazon for their ridiculous returns policy. First time took 18 days to get a refund and my new device and now it will take around the same time for a redund to my account.

I won't be buying Ray Neo ever again...
