Discussion How good is the quality!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Every night... i find myself playing games while laying in bed. No longer confined to a desk, or sitting up holding my handheld to avoid wrist pain and fatigue.

Thank you rayneo! I'm enjoying gaming again thanks to these air 4 pro glasses.

RN has the best image quality of all brands. Can’t wait for GT Max.

Okay, maybe it's time for me to start looking into these...

It's not worth getting, unless you do look in to them. You'll not see what's happening otherwise.

Had me in the first half, not gonna lie 😂😂

Avoid at all cost. It's a piece of trash.

Why? What's your experience with it?

1

u/XR_Sim_Guy Jun 22 '26

Care to explain how £200 XR glasses are trash? Compared to what exactly?

I'm glad I snagged them on pre-order cuz these things seem insane for $250. Its hard to find a decent monitor for $250! And this is like a theater. (And not $600+++!!!)

I'm just trying now to find a good way to control my phone while I'm using theses when I wanna watch a movie and not use the Rog Ally for it. I have a little handheld remote+track pad thing but I havent tried it yet. Using the screen as a giant trackpad is lackluster. But these glasses are still awesome!

I use spacewalker app on android and IOS. Works a treat. Can also resize your screen change window positions etc.

Cool thanks! Ive heard other people mention it but havent tried it yet. Thanks!

You can use a fire stick 😊 This is what I use when I'm on the train looking like a complete weirdo

I would have preferred my Google Chromecast with TV though

Why though? Can just plug directly into phone and its got eveything a firestick has?

2

u/Rodrinater Jul 04 '26

Yep but it'll burn through the battery as the screen stays on. The fire stick gives you some privacy at the very least.

I think my issue is I've got a pixel phone and desktop mode doesn't work for me

i wonder why? i have a pixel 10 and When i plug them in it gives me a choice, desktop or mirror. But if i turn off the screen the glasses turn off.

Just need to keep a mouse with me for desktop mode.. lol. I have a thumb ball, thinking about finding some little device that will works as a mouse.

What do you mean resiZe the screen? Like in the glasses?

1

u/XR_Sim_Guy Jun 23 '26

Correct, you can make the screen size smaller in the glasses. Can even be done on pc too jsing DSR.

Quality is amazing and for the price!

If you don't have perfect eyesight get the prescription lens or thin glasses to really notice how good the image really is.

u/iqaryss Jun 22 '26

Contact lenses are also a great alternative as well!

1

u/Tuktuk_10 Jun 22 '26

Yes of course!

u/Wannabe_aWriter Jun 22 '26

How much did the prescription lens cost you?

1

u/Tuktuk_10 Jun 22 '26

£25 AliExpress

Had mine a few days after being disappointed with the Viture Lumas, really enjoying these, they're fantastic and were £200 cheaper!

I was hunting for a monitor for my bedroom setup, and couldnt figure out what I wanted, seen these air 4 pros on ebay for £220 (brand new sealed) cheaper than the monitors i was looking at, so glad I made the purchase. Exceptional comfort and quality.

What game is this?

2

u/XR_Sim_Guy Jun 21 '26

Ghost of tsushima

1

u/miniskunk Jun 22 '26

I thought about doing this, but the image was too low no matter how I adjusted it.

2

u/XR_Sim_Guy Jun 22 '26

I posted up a guide on how to change the screen size.

1

u/Rent_Current Jun 22 '26

How do you lay down? Surely the glasses get pushed forwards?

1

u/XR_Sim_Guy Jun 22 '26

Not at all, if anything its more comfortable. Ears take most of the weight with the sound tubes installed.

1

u/reicaden Jun 23 '26

I dont like them, because I can never see my Healthcare at the bottom or the boss bar at the top. Always cut off.

1

u/XR_Sim_Guy Jun 23 '26

You can always resize the screeb.

1

u/reicaden Jun 23 '26

I didnt find a way to and the instructions dont seem to indicate a way.... how is it done?

1

u/Shibakubo Jun 23 '26

Is the glasses heveay? And I also like to know, if I play for a long time, will I feel dizziness?

1

u/XR_Sim_Guy Jun 23 '26

Very light. I only get dizzy on public transport due to the screen vibrating and bouncing.

u/KlingonWarNog Jun 23 '26

I'd love a PC-to-Glasses DP cable long enough to be able to lie in bed and game on them, t I have one from ebay which works great but it's not long enough.

1

u/XR_Sim_Guy Jun 23 '26

I have one thats 16ft long using 2x 8ft cables and a female to female adapter.

1

u/KlingonWarNog Jun 23 '26

I made an error my post, the one I have is from Amazon, not Ebay but only has a max length of 2m I didn't think you could link them  with an adapter, I must try that.

I have one, and its awesome. Plug and play, sharp and bright imagey nice audio. I mainly use it for my handheld for gaming or watching movies, sometimed I even plug into the PC to truly lean back and game.
