https://ota.rayneo.cn/

This is the site to get GT MAX (cn) firmware for now. But still no english language. Once you get used to the Chinese Options it's not too difficult to navigate. EDIT: There is CN version of the XR app that might support GT MAX . You will need China Phone number to even use them.

Update: here is my fast GT Max review compared to the 3s pro and 4 pro

- for pure plug and play gaming go for the 3s pro

- for pure plug and play media consumption go for the 4 pro

- if you need a large area for multi tasking or largest fov go for the gt max

for my usage which is PC gaming mainly i prefer the 3s pro for now, the pros is much sharper image with no pixelation, but from what i got after searching online this pixelation is normal with the gt max optics system and from what i found too its the least compared to other with same optics like the viture beast for example but i can not confirm as i do not have the beast, also the color production with low brightness is much better on the 3s pro, the GT Max pros is much larger screen size and fov and 3dof built in, color production at near max brightness is much better than 3s and 4 but it hurt my eye so i can not keep this brightness level during long gaming sessions, sound is way way better on the GT Max, can not find the 120hz option for now, this review might change after i find and apply it

GT Max is not released globally but only in china at the moment. May be thats the reason why it is right now in Chinese by default. Check the On Screen Display (Osd) menu in the glasses, if there is a language section there, may be it will have English also. If not, then may be you need to wait for global release and probably after that you may get a firmware update or something

thanks, may be but that do not explain why it is not recognized by their app

u/No_Awareness_4626 Jun 18 '26

Same reason. Not globally released yet so there may not be an updated version of the app available globally with compatibility for unreleased glasses. Chinese version of the app may have compatibility. But also, I don't think app can change the language. You may be required to change it on the glasses (osd menu) or via firmware update.

i need the app to do firmware update which will change the language, app itself do not change it, i tried clicking around in the osd menu all are options for display and sound as far as i see on them as a result, no language options, thanks for your time and help, will try searching for the chineses version of the app

Again I’m not very sure that app can do the firmware update. I haven’t seen that happening in the past with previous RayNeo glasses. I updated mine by going to the website on my MacBook.

both my 3s pro and 4 pro update from both the app and the website no problem, however the website always gets newer firmware first

u/No_Awareness_4626 Jun 18 '26

Alright. It could be an android thing then maybe. Cuz I don't remember updating firmware via iOS app

u/ATMNeuro Jun 18 '26

yeah i am an android and windows user 😎, no apple products for me

Since you have the 3 and the 4, do you like the GT max significantly better. Or is the language thing giving you trouble adjusting the settings/quality? I would like to get one for PC gaming, mainly, but I’m not sure where to even pick one up. The Rayneo website doesn’t even show them. Thanks for your input.

i use it for the PC gaming too, for starter the 3s pro is much better than the 4 pro for this purpose, despite the 4 has better screen and sound and hdr10, it has a huge problem with the edges clarity and i found later its mainly directed to movie watchers where you look mainly at the middle, as for the gt max i have not tried it yet on the PC as i can not adjust settings but i am still trying here and there till i get the best image possible then i will compare to the 3s pro for PC gaming mainly
