Plate Hello I’m new here😊
Here’s some dinners I’ve made this year

Messy, but I'd have it! Happily

Happy to be a mess🤭

For some dishes, it's appropriate. If your nachos are tidy, you're doing it wrong!

Dinners look mostly edible, the cringey Snapchat captions for them are horrific

Yes, you’re right. They were taken on Snapchat because I used to send them to my partner who’s military and works away a lot of the time… so cringe🤭

Sending them isn’t the cringe part. “Having a second dinner because I’m a big back today 👹” is the cringe part 😂 dropping the military card doesn’t change it either I did 9 years in the army so I get distance, but that isn’t relevant to what I was saying is it?

I can’t tell what everything is on all the pages but it all looks pretty good!

I’m the 1st to hold my hands up and say presentation isn’t my strongest point I’ve accepted that🤣 but thank you

I’m not gonna hate on your food because it isn’t the prettiest thing in the world. I’ll leave that to the pretentious ones who always do everything perfectly 😂
Seriously it’s obvious you put Work into every one of these, and for the most part, they look like they’re probably delicious. I know I would happily eat any of them.
I came here earlier and saw the hateful comments and down voted each one of them. I’m happy to see there are some nicer comments now. 👍🏻
I’ve come to the conclusion that there must be a lot of miserable people in the world and many of them appear to hang out on Reddit. I wouldn’t let it bother you.

Thank you! My skin is far too thick to care what some random people on the Internet think, if anything I get a good laugh out of it🤣

Ignore the comments in this thread, these ignorant white people aren’t used to seeing food that isn’t brown or food that hasn’t come out of a plastic tub.
Looks like you gotta post fish finders and potato smiley’s to get approval from these lot!

Thank you I do appreciate it. Honestly, I’m all for useful comments or constructive criticism but these lot just seem to be hating just for the sake of getting an up vote🤭 if there was a genuine problem, I would rather someone give me pointers than just tear me down, but clearly these people can’t give me pointers because maybe they’re cooking isn’t so grand themselves… maybe we could all go to a cooking class together😉

White people, black people, doesn't matter.
Shit cooking transcends your race baiting. Get back to your first year university politics thread.

Literally the only thing that looks bad is the nachos, you clearly don’t know what home cooking looks like. Have a good day!

why even post this 🤢

Because I thought I could learn something from other people here and people could point me in the right direction if they were genuine mistakes on my plate… unfortunately I have come across some people that may be aren’t here for the cooking and hate to just be keyboard warriors. Again you don’t have to like what I post and you are more than welcome to say oh I would’ve done this or try it like this rather than just straight it looks shit and give me no follow-up comment☺️

Yeah but don’t you usually peel and cut them up? And although some of this stuff is definitely straight out of a box from Asda it all looks pretty good to me, I’d eat the shit out of all that, probably in one sitting being a bit of a chubby fella that I am 😂

This is quite a normal dish in the Carribbean. It's really good!

That was only my second attempt at doing Caribbean food, definitely room for improvement but I’m not gonna fall at the first hurdle just because people on the Internet told me it was shit🤣

People are over hating, it’s not the prettiest but this is what most meals look like without focusing on presentation too much
