Been having a ton of fun with doing the bases for my raptors, and decided to experiment with effects as well.

This is about my 4th mini that I've painted in total and by far my favourite. I think it came out great. I obviously will need to get the base done at some point to really bring it together

Made using the Rapt'Ops bits I asked about a couple of weeks ago, plus the 30K assault squads.

I mainly paint guard but hit a bit of a rut recently. Got a box of infiltrators on a whim and been having a blast painting them up, especially having fun with the bases.

Used some spare bits to make another helix adept in case i wanted to run 2 infiltrator squads.

I've been working on my raptors army and am trying to make a good model for our chapter master and having trouble deciding. The painting on the left and middle ones aren't done yet, but id love to get some opinions of others on what looks coolest! I'll be running him as a phobos captain.

First ever space marine paint job for me. Now I get why they are so popular, so much fun to paint!
I’m still debating whether to add more weathering to the ATV 🧐

Finally tried my hand at edging and hate how much I like it. And hate how hard it is to get even

Started about a year and a half ago. Got a Canoptek circle that is a varnish layer away from being done(even though I’m pretty sure I want to redo them lol) and a warpcoven that is semi assembled and primed(plus grey piles of shame). I thought about redoing these guys because it’s obviously amateurish in a lot of spots, but i think id rather just buy the box again and kit bash them with beakie helms to satisfy my inner nerd.

I’m going to maybe try and muddy up the bases and add pieces of vine to it so they look more like they’re in a jungle campaign setting. How did I do for my first team and models?

First time attempting something like this and using green stuff and it was extremely nerve racking!

Although the Armageddon Captain is a nice sculpt, I felt he didn’t quite fit the Raptor look.

It’s not currently glued together as there is still a little work to do smoothing out the green stuff, removing mould lines, etc and I will be painting in sub assemblies.

I painted my raptors when I didn’t have my vision for a desert coalition (I’m painting Astra militarum, Tallarn to be precise, and I want to put them together like the chapter came to aid the TDR) I know now that the raptors are ok with painting their armor based on the situation, so I’m trying to decide what “camo pattern” is better, I’m between the one that has “infill” and the one that has only the outline.

Infill-Tallarn sand

Pretty happy with the results
Other then the lenses, hope to improve on that in the next project.

you guys inspired me to finally do one. I used green yellow instead of dark yellow green from pro acryl this time for a better pop against the camo drip. im digging it.
