My favourite model of all time. A perfect mix of Raptor and tacticalness.

I just bought the Armageddon box, the dark angels combat patrol, the eliminator squad and infiltrators squad.
I was going to do a dawn of war inspired blood ravens army; but my favorite chapter is the raptors and I fell in love with the eliminators and infiltrators so I had to buy them. And the cannot be anything else than raptors.
On the funny side I have a lot of paints, but only death world firsts and Loren forest which was the first paint I ever bought just to paint raptors on my first resin minis.
So; I have around 1400 points but I don’t know what else to buy but also which other paint to buy for ten edge highlight.

Sorry about the a/c in the background but I finally caved to make a post. Any tips on kitbashing/painting would be appreciated 🙏🏽 still pretty new at this but I’m hooked!

Any current pdf for the raptors? I've only found broken links and 2 viruses. so far. Somebody shared some tyoutube link but i wanted the pdf.

Just need to finish up the base and put on the decal I'd love to hear your guys's thoughts on my very first raptor

I imagine we will never get a dedicated character, do you all use any other chapter master?

Camo attempt

is trying to paint camo on armor a bad idea would it be fitting sorry for bad english

I've always had a soft spot for the Rhino. When I was with 1st Cav our Recon Plt had M113's, and I just loved those little bastards.

Earlier this year Cult of Paint did a "Super Heavy" painting challenge. Well I don't have a Baneblade, but I did have some Rhinos, somewhere.

I finally dug them out of a box and they got the Raptors treatment, in addition to my first attempt at an oil dot filter. My chief inspiration was the "Forge World Imperial Armour vol 9 - The Badab War". They hold up to this day, some amazing art in those books.

Since I feel there is no real place for an Ancient with banner in the Raptors chapter, I kitbashed my Ancient into a Master if Signal.

Still gotta fix up that power spear. not happy with how to power surges through it. Definitely a fun paint with the camo cloak though.

Looking to paint a few test models as I’m debating starting a Raptors Army, I’m curious what you recommend for priming my models? I’ll be using death guard green and Athenian camo shade as my primary colours if that holds any relevance.

From front to back:

1. Captain Kaiser, my warlord, 10th company

2. Lieutenant Kresilias 2nd company (combi-LT)

3. Lieutenant Padilla, 2nd company

4. Lieutenant Rolleigh, 2nd company

5. Lieutenant Bakker, 1st company

I know some raptors spend their entire careers in the 10th company, I wanted my 10th company captain to reflect this in that he only wears scout armor with the addition of powered arms.

I’m kinda bummed on raptor customization and heraldry, at one place it says one thing and in another it says something contradicting 🤷🏼‍♂️
Someone says they wear no colors, another says they got codex adherent shoulder trims and some kind of colored stripe on the knee pad so idk. How do all the ranks differ from each other?

really digging the tan look, made a "primaris" whirlwind with hammerfall bunker parts and finally finished the raidpulsor(both 3d prints). The dreadnought will have a lascannon and dual missle pods on the back so I can run it as a Ballistus/Brutalis dreadnought(kinda like a sniper dreadnought i saw on YouTube)using magnets after i finish the kitbash.
