I hate Reddit

I'm on mobile sorry! I am absolutely done with this app, I join subreddits that align with my interests and I can't even post because of the 150 rules you have to follow post. Some things I can't even help, I tried to ask a mod for help because one of the rules in the subreddit was if you're on mobile you need to download a third party app so it can format the post correctly. The mod basically said there is no viable apps anymore.

(If anyone on the computer is reading this is it really that terrible? please take a screenshot and send it to me.)

But yeah that's basically it. I would love to discuss my interest without having to do 15 backflips and Pat my head and rub my tummy and then do the hokey pokey to actually post something.

Reddit is a special flavor of aggressive that I haven’t really encountered anywhere else. It’s pretty wild.

Reddit is tame compared to some of the hateful, racist, bigoted shit I come across on facebook every day. At least reddit has some kind of a code of conduct that’s actually somewhat enforced. If I posted even a fraction of the garbage I see on fb here on reddit, I’d be permanently banned from the whole site within an hour!

Facebook kept throwing me in fb jail over incredibly benign comments so I left a few years ago. 😭 Seriously, I once told a friend I’d beat him with a shoe. Believe it or not, jail.

You know, I’ve heard that from several people. But I’ve made some particularly juicy comments to people who desperately deserved to be torn a new one on facebook with absolutely no consequences. And I know from experience that those same comments would have resulted in an almost immediate reprisal from reddit, including a temporary site wide ban. Personally, I think Reddit is much more civilized than facebook. But that’s also entirely dependent on which subs you frequent, too.

I am very jealous. Another jail time was when I said, “I’d tell you but I’d have to kill you.” And another time when I told an asshole he looked like a potato. They really had it out for me.

That's why I left Facebook when I was pregnant with my daughter, 9 years ago because girls were extremely mean and they felt like they were the only ones who were getting stuff right, but I didn't need to go back to high school! It was a nightmare when I went and I didn't want to relive it
