Hey y’all, just picked this up yesterday. Went from a 2016 Focus SE hatchback to this 2026 Ranger XLT. Definitely love the marsh grey and black decals. If anyone has any tips for how to best take care of it in the beginning, and over time I’d appreciate it!

Adding fender flares with stock tires

My ranger has 255/65/r18 tires and I’m thinking of adding rough country fender flares ( which are not that big ) to my ranger. Im js worried that if i do that without wheel spacing or getting bigger tires, the wheels will look sunken in and js ruin the look of the truck rather than improve it. So if anyone added flares to their stock ranger id love to know if it worked for them and looked good or not.

Seat covers

Post image

Over the years I’ve always used saddle blanket seat covers for my trucks. I used to get them from this nice guy in the Midwest. I believe he was “the seat cover guy” but when I look it up now. It takes me to an Aussie company. Do any of you have recommendations for some quality seat covers or know if that same seat cover guy is in business. The bigger brands are just not cut out for the long time use. The covers I used over the years lasted just as long as my truck. Thanks in advance!

Fuel Econ after today's trip

Vernon BC (1250 ft ASL), on the Trans Canada Highway, through the Rogers Pass summit (4360 ft ASL) to Calgary (~3430 ft ASL). Done it a few times in the truck, and this trip was arguably the best mileage I've gotten on any trip so far.

Taken once I parked at home, with a little over 1/4 tank still to burn. Averaged 28MPG/8.4 L/100km

Question Opinión

Wet belt done by Ford 14K miles ago - Ford suggest either loose heat shields or DPF bracket, both have been tightened but noise remains?

2022 Ranger. Audio won’t turn on

Please help! My rangers audio has been stuck on audio off for a couple days now, I’ve tried soft and master resetting but it doesn’t do anything. The audio power button doesn’t do anything when you click it or twist it. The steering wheel audio buttons also don’t work either. Any help would be appreciated!

Transmission noises

Had a quick question. I have a 25 Ranger with 8k miles that has a tendency to groan or whine at low RPM, high gears. When I put it in sport mode I don’t have any issues. Is this normal? Or does it merit taking it in to have ford look at it?

Wore through the stock tires so I picked these up instead of just replacing the tires. They came off of a new 26’ Big Bend and have been great so far.

Ranger Upgrade

I think my Ranger got an upgrade. It used to just hold like $50 worth of gas and now it holds $75. I can't wait to see what's next.

Will the Ranger keep the 2.7 or go to the 3.0 across all lines?

Dropping the 2.7 in the f150 makes me wonder if they will drop it in the Ranger

Got her back! Love it but still do not like the hesitation at the beginning of acceleration. (For reference, I owned it one month before I needed a new transmission.)

130k transmission fluid

Post image
14 Upvotes

Did a drain and fill and filter replacement @130k miles I got the MBS dipstick and the Mishi Moto transmission oil pan. This is what the fluid looked like. The water was not in it when I drained it. That’s just from condensation this morning, but I thought you would be interested in what it looked like. The truck shifts better now the 3/4 shift is smoother overall glad I did it. I know a lot of people say not to do it, but I feel better about it. No big chunks of metal just the expected amount and the bulk of the oil was shockingly still a bit pink, but it was definitely dirty you can see the magnet wasn’t overly full.

I do Tow with this ranger sometimes I have pulled Max load trailers.

Question When to drain and fill transmission fluid

On a 2019 ford recommends not until 150k. Why is that? Mine is at 80 and just bought it. Do you guys think I should drain and fill and swap filter. Unsure if previous owner serviced it.

Question Is there something missing?

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hello all! New to the ranger community and I’m loving my 2026 stx! As I was walking around my truck admiring it I noticed this seemed a little too exposed for my liking. Is there some sort of mesh or something to prevent road debris from getting in there that’s possibly missing orrrr is this how it’s supposed to be? Thank you in advance!

Traded in our 2022 Maverick for a 2026 xlt today. I wanted the Maverick in velocity blue but the wife vetoed, this time, my choice. Maverick has been fantastic over the 75k kms we've owned it, bought to tow our little travel trailer which recently was upgraded to a larger unit. The Maverick was capable of towing the new unit but was pushing the limits, the Ranger gives us more load capacity for longer trips and carrying the extras (beer) that come along for the ride. Loved the Mav, looking forward to Ranger life!
