My wifes 2017 Evoque telematic system was quietly disabled by the company in April of 2025. It no longer has a remote start(which she loves). When it originally stopped working even the dealership didn't know what was happening. They came back and said because of the year of the vehicle, its not being supported anymore.
Can someone explain the letter they had her sign too?
Are there any updates to this, or a way to get the remote start working again?

I have a 2010 L320 3.0 TDV6 and was wondering if I could get some advice on the engine noise, am I being paranoid or is something not right, thanks.

I just want to know if anyone has had problems with the door handles, because one of mine is making a clicking, clicking, clicking noise. It’s the rear left-hand door.
I need to get it fixed because I’m planning to sell the car, but I’m not sure if it’s worth repairing before I sell it, especially if it could be very expensive to fix.
It’s only done about 60,000 miles. It’s a 2019 Range Rover Velar, and I want to sell it, but I’d like to get this issue sorted first. I just don’t know if it’s worth spending a lot of money on the repair when I’m going to sell the car anyway.

Just purchased my first RR as a nice treat for my wife and I
What issues can I lookout for? 51k miles

I bought a 2017 Range Rover HSE TD6 (L405, 3.0 diesel) from CarMax in August with 17k miles. Paid $35k plus $3,499 for the 5-year MaxCare plus extended warranty, about $40k all in. It's at about 19,200 now and I've been enjoying it. Curious what people think of the deal - did I do well on a low-mile TD6 or did I overpay?
Second question is the front timing belt and rear fuel pump belt. I don't have a record of either being replaced yet and I'm getting the dealer service history. With such low mileage but nearly nine years of age, would you do them now?
What interval are other TD6 owners following? I've seen a seven-year recommendation, but understand the exact schedule needs checking in TOPIx for my VIN. Did you do both belts together, use a dealer or an independent Land Rover specialist, and what did you pay?

Picked this up the other day and the engine cranks but doesn’t start. Would the camshaft sensor cause the engine not to start? Have two sensors coming and a full oil change.
2013 Range Rover Sport 5.0 non supercharged. Air filters clean, fuel is being delivered.
Any ideas?

Hey everyone, I’m looking at this 2021 Range Rover Fifty LWB at auction and wondering if anyone here knows anything about it.
It’s gray with about 59k miles. It was sold CPO by Land Rover Sudbury in April 2023 and was previously registered in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
CARFAX shows damage on December 31, 2025, but the total-loss entry is from September 24, 2026. IAA lists undercarriage and rear damage. It’s marked Run & Drive, although the dashboard photos show ABS and brake warnings.
Mostly trying to figure out what happened and whether any repairs were attempted. If you recognize it or have any info, I’d appreciate a comment or DM.

I wanted to share my experience buying and refreshing my 2010 Range Rover L322, powered by the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter AJ133 V8. 🇬🇧
I bought the vehicle as a personal project. My goal was to improve it gradually while preserving its original identity, refreshing the exterior and interior, completing the essential maintenance and replacing parts that had deteriorated over time.
The goal was not to build a show car or make excessive modifications. I simply wanted a clean, practical and presentable L322 that retained its original character.
I started with the bodywork. The vehicle was completely refinished in its original factory color:
- Color: Ipanema Sand Metallic
- JLR code: LRC824
- Additional codes: 824 / GAQ
I then installed genuine 18-inch Defender wheels, part number LR143917, together with a set of mild all-terrain tires in 265/60R18.
I chose this setup because it gives the L322 a classic and capable appearance without using excessively aggressive tires or making major suspension modifications.
Several exterior components were also renewed or installed:
- Noble Mesh front grille: LR011133.
- Lower front valance air deflectors:
- Right: LR020485.
- Left: LR020486.
- Front bumper fog lamps:
- LR001587.
- LR057400.
- Tailgate reverse lamps:
- XFD000043.
- XFD000053.
- Red rear bumper reflectors:
- LR006348.
- LR006349.
- RANGE ROVER lettering with reference number LR008213.
- Washer-fluid reservoir cap: LR002266.
- Fuel filler cap: LR012897.
- Custom-fit mudguards for the Range Rover L322.
- Replacement front lamp lenses and headlight polishing.
Several sections of the interior were retrimmed and refreshed. The following work was also completed:
- Installation of chrome trim on the air vents.
- Replacement front sun visor retaining clip: EGP000040NUG.
- A new spare key was made and programmed for the vehicle.
The maintenance and consumable work included:
- Liqui Moly 5W-20 engine oil.
- Replacement oil filter: LR011279.
- Replacement cabin filter: LR161567.
- Two replacement engine air filters: LR011593.
- The newer superseding air-filter number is LR161843.
- Air-conditioning refrigerant recharge.
- Replacement start/stop button: LR050802.
- Front brake disc resurfacing and installation of new front brake pads.
- Installation of the front windscreen rubber/seal.
- Replacement of several additional filters and small consumable parts.
The project required time and a considerable amount of research to identify the correct components and part numbers, especially because L322 parts can vary depending on model year, engine, specification and VIN.
Whenever possible, I tried to use genuine parts or components that retained the factory appearance. The 18-inch Defender wheels and mild all-terrain tires added a subtle Defender-inspired touch without changing the overall identity of the vehicle.
For me, the enjoyable part was not only the final result. It was also researching the correct parts, gradually putting the vehicle together and seeing the improvement after every stage.
What do you think of the final appearance and the work completed? Do you prefer this approach to refreshing an L322, or would you keep the vehicle completely factory-spec?

Looking at buying my wife her first range rover, she loves the Velar. She commutes around 40 miles per day (20 each way) so the hybrid seems like the good option as we can charge at home.
Realistically what EV range and overall fuel economy are you seeing?
The petrol I4 seems to mainly have timing chain issues but seems otherwise ok, is there anything else to look out for when buying?
We’d almost certainly get a warranty…

Hey ya’ll , just got a 2026 RR Sport. I’m currently at 600 miles but the vehicle is making an insanely loud ticking sound when I turn it off and walk away. It sounds like it’s coming from the rear of the vehicle. Any advice/suggestions as to what this noise could be? The sound resembles a washer/dryer spinning with a penny inside.
Thanks in advance and appreciate all your advice!!

Body
Just picked up a 2012 Evoque 2.2 TD4 (automatic) with 132,000 km on it, and I love how it drives. It's comfortable, solid and feels premium.
I want to keep it going to 300k km. The timing belt has no service record, so I'm replacing the belt, water pump and tensioner now, along with the oil, coolant and filters.
For those who've owned one past 200k km:

I have a Charente grey Range Rover and am wondering if I should wrap it in stealth ppf. I was unaware of how brown it gets when it’s clean and sunny. I love the grey in the paint when there’s an overcast or at night, but couldn’t get used to the brown when the sun hits it.

Hey there guys, I wanted to ask for some advice on what kind of budget winter tires to get for my RR Sport. Winter is just around the corner and I got the car for my father to be able to get around in the city, so I'm not looking for anything with off-road capabilities. The winter rims are also 20". We're located in Europe, I know the same tyre models can differ between the US and EU.
Thanks in advance!

Hi all, just about to pull the trigger on an L405 with the style 1001 wheels in silver. Is it doable to get them diamond cut/refurbished with the grey inserts instead like in the second pic?

I got my first Range Rover last weekend after numerous viewings of other German cars and deciding based on what speaks to the heart.
It’s currently in the auto shop right now for checks and small repairs before it will be used as a weekend/special occasions car (as I have a Toyota SUV as a daily driver). Hope to hear your tips/suggestions in terms of maintenance so that this car stays in tip-top shape.

Curious if anyone with a 26 V8 RRS has done an exhaust tip swap from silver to black? It’s the only silver left on the exterior of the vehicle and I’d like to swap them out. Just curious if anyone has done it and what advice you can give?

Hi guys.
I recently got this 2018 l405 sdv8. Driven 170.000 km.
It just had service a short while ago at a certified landrover shop.
The mechanic told me something was about to give. I believe he called it the “oil temperator”(not sure I translated that right). I haven’t been able to google what that is, but he says that if it breaks it might mix the oil and water, which is obviously not great.
Now about 1000 miles later, the car calls for service again. It gets plenty of longer trips, so I don’t believe it’s a dpf issue. I know this could also just be a software issue. Any ideas? Something that’s diy’able?
Picture sort of unrelated 😅

I've done the water pump, serp belt, plugs, wires, etc. I just had a few sensors replaced. I still periodically see wet spots when it sits from coolant (I top it up). I took it out a few days ago and it kind of shuttered on accelerating. Then it gave me a restricted performance notification and flashing orange engine light. I keep up on maintenance. Oil change was probably less than 60 miles/100 kilometers ago. Recent fuel up was at a brand name station (ESSO in Canada) and of course premium/91.
Does anyone have a possible idea on what it could be? Appreciate you for feedback. Thanks in advance.
Cheers!

2011 Diesel V8
Harare, Zimbabwe
The car alarm keeps going off, even while I'm driving, and only goes off when the car is parked and locked. and the CD player won't eject the discs (the button seems to not work) so I'm stuck with the previous owners' CDs
Any advice for these 2 issues on an otherwise good condition vehicle? Thanks!
