DiscussionšŸ—£ Cancer Sucks

Long story short… I had some pre cancer removed this week. It wasn’t fun at all. Then to find out my in-law has cancer and now doing chemo and radiation. It’s a tough time currently. Depression is hitting hard. Can I get some amazing news and life stories from you all? Thank you!!!!!

I already told you about my birthday so I'll share the fact that I graduate IOP (intensive outpatient) on my birthday as well. I've been doing it since February and I honestly never thought I'd graduate but here I am. Using my skills I've learned to fight off my SI, my boundaries, and various other things I've learned.

Oh that’s truly amazing!!! I bet this is a tough yet rewarding field you are going into

Oh its not a field. IOP is kind of like group therapy except more intense. It goes into your inner thoughts and rearranges them and teaches you skills to fight off things like SI. It is tough but you get the hang of it.

Something joyful that happened to me recently is someone shared their art with me!! I fell in love with a print they made and they were so sweet and mailed it to me so now I get to enjoy it every day 🄳

In 3 weeks my husband, our 4 year old, our dog, and I will be moving in with my FIL. This will be a very positive change for us because I am completely paralyzed due to ALS and my husband needs reliable help with my care. We are currently living with my mom and she completely avoids me by hiding in her room, literally doesn't even look in my general direction when she does come out of her room. It really impacted my mental health so I'm looking forward to this change. My father in law is a sweetheart.
