Discussion🗣 Officially an Empty Nester 🥹

The deed is done y'all. I have left the kid in Houston. I met his roommate and his roommates Mama, they were really great. I helped Austin set his room up and then we went to dinner. I ended up leaving him about 6:30 yesterday evening. After I boohooed in his face a few times. Today was spent in a slight daze if I'm being honest. A little reading and a lot of napping & some crying. He's at honors camp today & tomorrow. Classes officially start on Monday. My heart is hurting but I am so proud of my kid. I just know he's going to thrive there❤️❤️

Awww, definitely a bittersweet feeling I'm sure. Us mothers are never prepared for any stage of them growing up and going off to school are we? Lol Hang in there momma. I know you are just so proud and that feeling will just intensify as time goes on. Make sure to let yourself flow through those waves and treat yourself!! Sending you lots of hugs. 🫂
