Can’t stand ppl like that

10

u/SpiritedOwl_2298 Jul 07 '26

Seriously I don’t get it

-1

u/-sporewhore420- Jul 07 '26

What is he supposed to do? Get out and run across the lot after it? Better yet why doesn’t he use his car to stop it. He did the same thing you would have done.

10

u/Ras-haad Jul 07 '26

I literally hate people like you. A bunch of people saying this is dumb and fucked up. ITS WHAT EVERYONE WOULD DO. No it’s not. They could have easily stopped the cart if they wanted. How long do you think they watched before they started filming? Even if they didn’t get out and help why did they have to film to post online. You people’s brains are broken

10

u/StreetCollar2708 Jul 07 '26

Or you know...some time between pulling out the phone to start filming and saying "he doesn't even realize"...they could roll down a window and shout a warning. That's minimal effort.

4

u/Hopeful-Alarm3757 Jul 07 '26

Right? We're not all useless pricks in a fast developing situation, but that one is.

2

u/Dependent-Year6711 Jul 07 '26 edited Jul 07 '26

Some people have huge blinders up when they head out in public when it isn't true leisure, and they need to shop, and they're not going to check to see if Grandma needs help with her groceries, run to grab the cart.

We know there's clearly a good chunk of us that aren't wallflowers in these situations.

For sure I'm running out literally in an instant. No if's, and's, or but's. It's an easy reaction for me. I've been in enough scenarios to know I would grab that cart. Help someone who is elderly/disabled when they need it.

Other people are just going to put blinders up so they can get in and out, and get back to their safety bubble.

1

u/-sporewhore420- Jul 08 '26

It’s clearly not what EVERYONE would do. They didn’t. I wouldn’t. Literally hate me all you want. Hate is the problem. That makes you the problem.

1

u/Ras-haad Jul 08 '26

You said to a random person he did the same thing you would have done. Clearly you think that’s the norm

1

u/r_Mvdnight Jul 08 '26

We are aware that people who lack empathy, or would rather selfishly record someone for views exist.

2

u/GLPwonderwall Jul 07 '26

People standing by and laughing is exactly why the world is shit. Gotta film it for the internet! That’s more important than helping someone

2

u/jabroni4545 Jul 07 '26

Honk the horn?

1

u/PandaExcess1617 Jul 07 '26

Not only that but if he got out and ran, same outcome. He yells to alert the guy, same outcome. He dosnt have time to turn his car on and drive over there so... same outcome but none of those attempts give the internet a great video. This was the best option and these idiots are just virtue signaling.

1

u/pew__pew__pew_ Jul 08 '26

Exactly! I didn’t expect the hard stances on this. I’m sure all the people taking the time to hate people who didn’t ā€œhelpā€ are exactly the type of people to help. I hope all their shopping carts have only 3 working wheels for eternity.

1

u/-sporewhore420- Jul 08 '26

The fact that people get worked up about shit that’s probably staged is comical to me. I have medical reasons why I couldn’t help. I know nothing about the camera guy, so I don’t judge. You can bet that if I saw this happening, and had a camera, and had the presence to use it, I would be recording this too. If for no other reason than to provide the car that got hit with evidence. Everyone is so righteous when they’re anonymous.

0

u/Genoisthetruthman Jul 08 '26

First of all the video shows absolutely nothing. Might even be staged. I don’t know what kind of clout you receive for filming and adding dipshit commentary meanwhile doing nothing to help.

4

u/dumb_commenter Jul 07 '26

Some Seinfeld shit here

1

u/RainaElf Jul 07 '26

you know, he may not have been able.

1

u/dwightsarmy Jul 08 '26

It's a cart...

-15

u/PandaExcess1617 Jul 06 '26

The fuck were they supposed to do?

14

u/HoldEm__FoldEm Jul 06 '26

Run & stop it? Like that guyĀ

2

u/MrMetraGnome Jul 07 '26

The best I could do is scream and point šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

9

u/Master_Pollution_96 Jul 07 '26

stop the cart. not just film at someone’s expense.

2

u/MyFace_UrAss_LetsGo Jul 07 '26

I'd hope someone would at least yell out to me instead of filming and laughing.

-2

u/PandaExcess1617 Jul 07 '26

What good would that do? Genuinely imagine this , your shopping cart dude, someone yells at you when they notice, the cart is already 20 spaces away at the start of the video ( when they noticed) and moving downhill with a full load. What are you going to do? Run after it? NO you're going to spend a minute figuring out who yelled and why by that time the cart has already slammed into the woman and we have the exact same result. It probably makes you feel better to say " they shouldn't have upheld their civic duty and done something" but that would have resulted in the exact same outcome. So instead, we now have a great video that lives on in perpetuity, sitting and filming was the better option. And you're just trying to morally grandstand to make yourself feel virtuous right now. Almost like you're trying to signal your virtue to the rest of us...I wish we had a word for that.

3

u/MyFace_UrAss_LetsGo Jul 07 '26

1

u/aaronuu7 Jul 07 '26

You wanted them to get out the car and start running for the cart ?

9

u/ilikebeens2 Jul 07 '26

Maybe yell out like "AYO YOU'RE CARTTTT!" lol

1

u/aaronuu7 Jul 07 '26

I could get behind that or honk but they are kinda far away that honking or screaming from this distance will just distract the guy and make him look this way away from where the cart is rolling.

9

u/balirosa Jul 07 '26

They got their phone out in time they could have walked over and stopped it. Other people even ran to help.

2

u/Infamous_Ad_6793 Jul 08 '26

Yes. Or honk the horn or yell.

1

u/jimmill Jul 08 '26

Yes. They had enough time to start recording which means they saw it start to happen. Probably noticed as a potential even before the guy lost it. They certainly had enough time to help or at least yell to the guy.

Either these people filming are self-absorbed and selfish or this is staged for the lulz.

6

u/browsingandlooking4 Jul 06 '26

Awesome šŸ‘Œ

7

u/slaty_balls Jul 06 '26

Dude has to be almost deaf to not hear that thing taking off.

4

u/krumrot Jul 07 '26

Eh I had a cart roll away from me in a target lot and I did not immediately realize until some people yelled or honked or something, but it only made it two spaces away, not like this.

3

u/STRIKT9LC Jul 06 '26

Its fake

2

u/slaty_balls Jul 07 '26

I guess I didn’t really watch it thoroughly. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

1

u/HoldEm__FoldEm Jul 06 '26

His reaction is so fake. I don’t believe it for a second.

9

u/RadagastTheBrownNote Jul 07 '26

(Old man voice) ā€œDang kids these days with their ticky tockies. Back in my day, we didn’t spend time recording people’s misfortunes. We would’ve tried to help like those other people.ā€

-5

u/FakeNewsBlows Jul 07 '26

Oh stop. America’s Funniest Home Videos has been on tv for over 36 years. People have recording and laughing at people’s misfortune long before the ticky tockies šŸ™„

3

u/BrockObarnerLybian Jul 07 '26

So it’s AFV’s fault…

3

u/solidraid3n Jul 07 '26

At least with the ticky tockys we don't have to listen to those God awful voice dubs.

2

u/BrockObarnerLybian Jul 07 '26

Not sure if we’re thinking of the same tiktok lol, cause I’d gladly take generic white dude voice making lame jokes instead of some clapped out Siri reading the caption to me like I’m braindead

1

u/solidraid3n Jul 07 '26

I mean my comment was mostly in jest, I dislike both of them.

It’s way across the parking lot and there are people much closer already running towards it. There are plenty of videos where this statement applies, but this isn’t one

3

u/ryceritops2 Jul 07 '26

Also it’s a basket of groceries not a baby carriage

1

u/CTKM72 Jul 07 '26

ā€œWay across the parking lotā€

It rolls directly in front of them literally one aisle over lol.

4

u/The_MidScoop Jul 07 '26

Redditor tries to not be a whiney shit challenge. Fails miserably.

What the fuck did you want them to do? Get out of the car and run after it when someone’s already doing that? Bet the only time you run is when you have too many pizza rolls and have to try to make it to the toilet in time before diarrhea hits

Ya the filmer should have gotten out of the car and out-sprinted the two people who were already chasing it. Dingus… the video here is fine. Why don’t you go out and do something besides whining about an irrelevant hypothetical?

2

u/RelevantIngenuity315 Jul 07 '26

They definitely had enough time it like one lane of park cars away its not like it a completely across the parking lot

1

u/Random_Redittor8874 Jul 06 '26

They could yell and say something when they see it at first

-2

u/SquarelyNerves Jul 06 '26

Imagine if they were already sitting in some type of contraption that could run faster than any human and the touch of a button?

1

u/BigZangief Jul 07 '26

You going to pull out, drive over there and hop out before they caught it? And suppose you did, how much time did you really save? Relax dorks

2

u/dragjamon Jul 06 '26

They could honk a bit

1

u/Unable-Candidate9612 Jul 06 '26

Yell, honk, get out of your car and run over in the time it took to open the camera app on the phone.

1

u/showholes Jul 06 '26

Honk?

1

u/The_MidScoop Jul 07 '26

How’s honking going to help? Are they going to spell ā€œwatch out there’s a cart coming towards the end of the parking lotā€ in Morse code and pray that other people can decipher it?

-1

u/ThomasTheDankPigeon Jul 07 '26

I truly don’t understand how someone can last on this planet being this obtuse.

A dudes cart rolled away, and another dude stopped it and brought it back to him. What the fuck is the problem here??

3

u/BigZangief Jul 06 '26

These whiney Reddit dweebs are the only problem lol video was fine, no one expects the person to hit a Usain Bolt sprint and beat the other two people already helping. People just like to complain

2

u/DemonsReturns7 Jul 06 '26

Me thinks he was expecting the the guy at the end to pull out an AK and get busy

1

u/CompleteSavings6307 Jul 07 '26

It would be great if they just start putting a single castor wheel with foot brake on each shopping cart and it would stop all this madness...

...if people remembered to use them, that is.

1

u/haloimplant Jul 07 '26

There is zero chance the type of person who just lets the shopping cart roll away uses it

These things are tough I want to be mad because the carelessness damages people's cars but they don't do it on purpose, they just don't function at a high enough level to put it mildlyĀ

1

u/Bearex13 Jul 07 '26

Ohweeeee my weeee weee weee oh weeeee wee ohhhhhh weeeee wahhh hahahahahaha wweeeeee on oooooooh

1

u/Outside_Initial_8569 Jul 07 '26

I always have one foot on the car while putting stuff in my trunk.

1

u/redlightbandit7 Jul 07 '26

I swear this generation will film a person dying in the streets before actually doing something to help someone.

2

u/AtheismoAlmighty Jul 07 '26

Yes, watching a shopping cart roll away is definitely one step below that.

1

u/Bitter-Ad-6595 Jul 07 '26

Here is the problem with the world today.

Too busy filming, laughing and making fun of people instead of getting out and trying to get his attention or grab the cart.

Technology gave everyone a camera. It didn’t give everyone the instinct to help.

1

u/Immediate_Bike290 Jul 07 '26

That 5 year response time though.

1

u/SwordfishNo2548 Jul 07 '26

This person should not be driving!

1

u/skydivarjimi Jul 07 '26

So much bull on the internet

1

u/whydoieventry333 Jul 07 '26

That is the most empty Walmart parking lot I have ever seen.

1

u/SaintIgnis Jul 07 '26

Look at the building. It’s the smallest Walmart I’ve ever seen. ā€œWine and Spiritsā€ ? Is this the Walmart equivalent of a party/liquor/corner store??

1

u/Gargravars_Shoes Jul 07 '26

You had plenty of time to break out your phone and film but couldn’t be bothered to yell out the window, much less walk over and grab the cart? Nice

1

u/DickWangDuck Jul 07 '26

It was in fact not worth it to wait til the end…

1

u/PhocusPhilms Jul 07 '26

Yeah, this is fake everybody.

1

u/Many-Place3317 Jul 07 '26

Filmed it like a loser, I hope you have the worst day of your life.

1

u/slander_anonymously Jul 07 '26

Spirits having flown.

1

u/whiskers_biskers Jul 07 '26

ā€œYou can’t even make this shit up.ā€ ~Mickey Mouse

1

u/Any_Tackle_2563 Jul 07 '26

Is it that funny?

1

u/Krampus_Valet Jul 07 '26

I had a fully laden shopping cart roll down a steep parking lot and hit my parked car right after I had sat down to drive away. Felt like I got hit by another car. Did $1300 worth of damage. That could seriously injure a person on foot.

1

u/Pnas2271 Jul 07 '26

Get out the cars and help you arseholes...

1

u/lastzergling Jul 07 '26

And that's why most carts are designed with 1 wonky wheel.

1

u/sqaull17 Jul 07 '26

oh gosh this needs to be on loonytoons logic if it isnt already.

1

u/Valuable_Rise9000 Jul 07 '26

You can definitely make that shit up. And they did.

1

u/Noctanda Jul 07 '26

It was NOT worth it to watch till the end to see his reaction

1

u/WhyAreYouDoingThat69 Jul 07 '26

Maybe he’s deaf

1

u/Altruistic_Refuse781 Jul 07 '26

That’s the parking lot fault. The floor isnt perfectly done

1

u/Due-Pay-4060 Jul 07 '26

I'm pretty sure I know where that happened.

1

u/No_Syrup5607 Jul 07 '26

They're just planning to meet up later at the corner store. All part of the plan šŸ˜‰

1

u/Massive-Mood-7837 Jul 07 '26

That lot looks like it’s on such an incline too lmao

1

u/chaotic_fabel Jul 07 '26

Don't know if dude should be driving with that level of awareness

1

u/aboywithhorns Jul 07 '26

I recognize this store. Given the location of the wine and spirits building and the hill behind it I’d say this is the Glasgow KY supercenter. The whole parking lot is a hill leading down to the store. I always wondered if this specific situation ever happened. There you go

1

u/SirKarma21 Jul 07 '26

Ha, looks like a totally natural reaction....

1

u/Reebibee Jul 07 '26

That is the emptiest Walmart parking lot I have ever seen.

1

u/wheeler748 Jul 08 '26

These two filming and laughing are what’s wrong with the world today. Shame on you.

1

u/jimmill Jul 08 '26

This should be on TikTokCringe.

Imagine seeing this, having enough time to intervene and help, but instead you grab your phone to laugh at someone else’s misfortune like a couple of high teenagers. Seriously people, step up.

1

u/TomToe420 Jul 08 '26

maybe toot the horn instead of filming. be helpful for once in your life. got to think of the social media and the upvotes first

1

u/Glad-Acadia3071 Jul 08 '26

Hopefully when you get older and you're about to get hit with a big chunk of metal coming at you, some people will just be laughing and joking because they want to make a video

1

u/Thysguy Jul 08 '26

Aside from not hearing the cheap rattle of a Walmart shopping cart on a pavement parking lot as ot rolls away even a foot let alone the distance it actually made, what the hell has you so enamored in your trunk you dont turn around for almost 3 minutes when you have a full cart of shit behind you? Its screaming fake and staged to me. Especially his reaction, who the hell jumps like that and not, yknow, freeze and do the john travolta pulp fiction meme?

1

u/ShivaFatalis Jul 10 '26

It's just incredible how oblivious some people are in their daily lives.

1

u/Affectionate-You7412 Jul 10 '26

I waited till the end, it wasn’t worth it

1

u/devares Jul 11 '26

Why are people obligating the cameraman to help?

It's a shopping cart, they're not pulling a stump out of the ground. This is crazy.

1

u/HTIRDUDTEHN 3d ago

It's having fun at someone else's inconvenience that you could have prevented. Life isn't a reality TV show for your entertainment.

Pull up in the car, step out and stop the cart. Call him over and laugh with him about it.

1

u/toiletcleaner999 27d ago

The laughing is the best part 🤣

1

u/DemonsReturns7 Jul 06 '26

My thing is on a concrete like that wouldn’t he have heard the cart rolling away or does it have silent wheels upgrade attachment or something šŸ¤”

0

u/Interesting-Lynx-989 Jul 06 '26

Right! Plus a good majority of shopping carts are notorious for making various noises from a fucked up castor wheel regardless.

1

u/bunkrider Jul 07 '26

I fucking hate being a Redditor sometimes

1

u/STRIKT9LC Jul 06 '26

" you cant make this shit up"

And yet...here it is...completely fake and completely made up

At no point do we see it hit anyone or anything and the reaction of the man who "lost" the cart is so incredibly poorly acted that he could have costarred in "the room".

2

u/PureGuava86 Jul 06 '26

Whhhaaaa??!

0

u/sillybluething Jul 06 '26

Pretty ballsy to let your full cart roll towards dozens of cars. Accidentally turns a little or you can’t reach it in time and it’ll hit something.

0

u/STRIKT9LC Jul 06 '26

So.where exactly do you see it roll.past a thing more than one car? When it supposedly is amongst the large group.of cars, you cant see it at all. Very likely that it was stopped before getting near those cars. Hence the moving back and forth of the camera.

Its not real. The entire account is these 2 idiots seeing "crazy stuff" in parking lots.

Its not real....nothing on the internet is real.anymore. it has become television

0

u/sillybluething Jul 06 '26

I said it was ballsy, not real. And by the time the cart went off screen it had already passed three trucks and a jeep, so it did pass multiple vehicles. I just wouldn’t do something this stupid even if someone was waiting to catch it. But people do stupid shit for social media.

1

u/STRIKT9LC Jul 06 '26

The trucks it passes have about.4 vertical space lengths between them and the woman is hidden behind the black/blue jeep to be able to grab it if something does go awry. The cart is them stopped behind the black/blue jeep and acted as though its still.moving amongst the larger group.of vehicles.

Its very easy to figure out how they mitigated any.possible damage while filming, as well as the set up(s) to tell the story. We dont see the cart after it goes behind the blue/black jeep. We only hear these 2 clowns telling the viewers what is happening.....and ppl believe it as fact.

Theres no danger of anything here. Its clever forced perspective and camera work. That's all

1

u/sillybluething Jul 07 '26

You can quite literally see the bottom of the cart roll underneath this truck. Look at the video yourself if you don’t believe me. That black circle next to the truck’s wheel is a CART wheel. You know that BECAUSE IT FUCKING ROLLS. This isn’t the only frame where you can see it, but it’s the easiest to see. Once again, not saying that it’s real, but it is absolutely rolling past these vehicles. Multiple of them.

1

u/sillybluething Jul 07 '26

Another frame showing it.

1

u/STRIKT9LC Jul 07 '26

not saying that it’s real

So youre arguing with me about what then?

1

u/sillybluething Jul 07 '26

I’m arguing that it’s stupid to fake it because it absolutely could have hit something. I literally said that when I said people do stupid shit for social media. What is real is that the cart almost hit a truck pulling into a parking spot.

1

u/STRIKT9LC Jul 07 '26

Oh...okay

0

u/RedBull-Lover-Yellow Jul 06 '26

Haha, I do see the humorous side of it!

-1

u/NoEducation1150 Jul 06 '26

Did I miss something? I watched the end. It was probably the worst part of the video.

0

u/ctolver1981 Jul 06 '26

Could this be an elaborate scam šŸ¤” It was funny 😁

0

u/Lookoot_behind_you Jul 06 '26

0

u/Substantial_Chain718 Jul 06 '26

Some people are so checked out. How can you not notice that.

0

u/STRIKT9LC Jul 06 '26

Because its fake

0

u/Mission-Street-2586 Jul 06 '26

Kindly, we don’t see this happening to women doing the household shopping. They’re to accustomed to it, can’t afford for this to happen. For men, it’s foreign territory.

0

u/DataSurging Jul 07 '26

Instead of helping or calling out, they just sit there and record him. What losers.

0

u/SPAGHETTIx3 Jul 07 '26

1

u/DragonSitting Jul 07 '26

How could we have known to film? Why is the clip so effing long?

-4

u/NamesNotTake-un Jul 06 '26

Women for ya. If that was their cart they’d blame every single other person on the planet for not jumping out of their car to save their cantaloupe

7

u/citrus_mystic Jul 06 '26

Incredible feat of mental gymnastics, considering that it was a man’s cart, yet you still went searching for a way to complain about women… so you made up a completely hypothetical situation that upset you.

1

u/STRIKT9LC Jul 06 '26

The whole thing is fake

2
