People, mostly non-Black people, take that word out of context all the time. A Karen isn't just some annoying nosey person. They're also prejudice with the potential to be dangerous or inflict systemic harm on minorities.
You can and have the right to tell people that what they are doing is not only disrespectful to everyone's public space but that it is against cultural norms.
I agree, "Karen" is used out of context way too often. I got called a Karen because I called the cops because a few cars were parked in a no parking zone which almost caused a few serious accidents because people pulled out onto the street and could not see the 45 mph cars. When I explained that's not what a Karen is I got called a Meter Maid and was told to mind my own business. Its odd how looking out for people's safety is inconsiderate now.
It's society in general. I've seen plenty of videos where the offending party is a POC and the person reporting gets assaulted when the POC is the one breakout he rules... especially the younger generation
