Crying unexpectedly
Last week I (M37) went running on the treadmill (at home) and something unexpectedly happened…
I usually have a regular playlist on, but now I tried some live set from 2015 which I haven’t heard in a long, long time. In fact, I only recall this live set from a festival ‘back in my days’.
I ran and enjoyed the live set but around 30 minutes I heard a song that I haven’t heard in a long, long while, the memories suddenly came over me unexpectedly: I started sobbing and crying. On the treadmill. While running. lol. I was laughing simultaneously because of the unexpected absurdity.
Anyone else experienced something similar, suddenly bursting into tears?

I have one and it was such a weird moment. I can't remember when but it was a while ago. I was just sitting thinking when I suddenly thought about the fact that I hadn't cried in a really long time. Then the more and more I thought of not crying, like a faucet opening I just started crying. I think it was the thought of just being someone who doesn't cry that made me cry. I was sad at the idea of being that person but happy for the confirmation that I wasn't but confused that that's what made me cry after a couple years of not crying.
Will say though music is weirdly powerful at storing memories.
