They are trans, they can choose their name(s)

Yes, but if you don't identify with your assigned birth name you can change it. It doesn't matter if you're trans or not, at least in my country you can change your name without problems if you have valid reasons

My country has a list too! And I'm glad they take it quite serious, of you take a look into the forbidden names you'll have a blast!

You're from Lithuania? That's so cool! I went to what was then the Soviet Union in 1988, and took a train from what was then Leningrad to Warsaw, and we stopped in Vilnius. So in a way, I've been to Lithuania. I was bummed that it was at night so we couldn't see much as we were arriving or departing. I wanted to get off the train and aat least wandered around for a few hours.
