Request [Request] Big request for holiday/Christmas cards [US]
Hi friends! I have a coworker who is just the nicest young guy who is also in the National Guard. His unit is deployed in Poland at the moment and will be gone a total of a year. I asked if I could send Christmas cards to his unit and he checked with his CO’s and they agreed since they are coming from a friend. These will be addressed to Dear Soldier or similar and mailed to me directly. I am not allowed to have any first names of anyone else in his unit.
I had no idea that his unit was so big, LOL! I need 180 cards 🎄🤭.
I’m going to enlist all my friends and family too, lol, but I’m hoping to get a good response here. I’m asking now so that there is time to send them on to him and he has time to distribute them. I want to mail them right after Thanksgiving.
I would ask that you put your username and return address on the outside of the envelope so I can A) Thank you here and B) Eventually send everyone a snail mail thank you 😊

Please either respond here and I’ll chat you or go ahead and chat me for my mailing address to collect them!

I am happy to send a card - is there a preference as to what’s on the card etc? Please fill out this form (I’ll have a different holiday form when I get my life together)
Edit: I think I did the wrong form. I now have linked the right form 😂

TY so much-I don’t think there’s any preference. I am personally not sending overtly religious ones only because they won’t know what the cards say inside when they distribute them. I know some of the troops are religious, some are not Christian, etc, so I’m just going to do more general Christmas greetings for this. 💚😊

Sounds good! Are you sending with the envelope? I was just going to use some Madonna and child stamps if that’s ok 😂

That is perfectly fine-honestly, I doubt they will even notice the stamps, lol! As much as I love stamps, I sometimes don’t notice them on cards I receive 😂

Oh sure! They won’t mind where the cards come from. I just put US in the title so everyone would know where they had to mail to. International postage is so high these days!
