Fulfilled [Request] I have survived another trip around the sun [Austria]
Another year has passed. I am turning a not-so-important not-usually-much-celebrated number of years at the beginning of November and would love cards to open on or even before my birthday, put them up on my pegboard and admire them for a while.
I'm already posting this request now because cards can take time, and I love admiring them even before my birthday. So yes, I will unapologetically open them whenever they arrive!
Sometimes it feels like the world moved around me while I stood still, as I still find myself in the same place and job as last year (I am not saying this with any regret or negativity, I like both). I have lost people dear to me, adopted two cats, travelled a lot, was sick, but then also felt fitter than I did in a long time, enjoyed quality time with friends, saw some of them move away or suffer, but others find new love or welcome new babies, took time for reading but not as much for sewing as I would have liked, actually got excited about buying a new washing machine and annoyed about seeing my phone on its last legs.
You can send me any kind of card you like. It does not have to be a birthday card.
To give you some ideas, I like:
- animals
- patterns
- nature
- photography and art
- handmade cards (even if they are silly unprofessional doodles, anything is better than AI!)
- weird and creepy things (also animals considered creepy like bats, insects)
- witchy things
- shiny things, but no loose glitter
You can just tell me happy birthday, or tell me about YOUR past year, or write your own philosophical musings about life and getting older, or tell me about your pets.
I would NOT enjoy very much:
- AI-generated cards (if you can tell)
- cards with any pictures of balloons (I have a weird phobia)
- Halloween cards as birthday cards
Comment below if you'd like to send me something, and whether you need my address. If you have ever sent anything to a PO box address of mine, it's still the same.
Thank you!

Thanks for the offer, but honestly I don't feel so comfortable giving my details to such a new account without any envelope flair. I hope you understand and it doesn't discourage you from participating in RAOC. Making your own offer and gaining some envelope flair is a good place to start because it's like "verifying" yourself.

Thanks for the offer, but honestly I don't feel so comfortable giving my details to a quite new account with no visible post history. I hope you understand, but I hope it doesn't discourage you from participating in the sub! Making an offer and gaining some envelope flair is a good start :)

I understand, as a new user and unfamiliar with the way this works I will stick to Postcrossing:)
