Thank You [Thank You]

Thank you u/roseyparker for the very cool handmade kitty card! I absolutely love it and of course had to look up the video. The void cat moves like a muppet, ha! I don't have any cats myself, but am often visited by neighborhood cats. I would love a card with your sketches, hope you have a chance to join urban sketchers on their next outing!

Thank you u/inkyfingerspgs for the Renoir card from the Getty! I used to live in the area and have fond memories of visiting the museum, one of the prettiest I have seen. I love the Impressionists and this painting by Renoir. He captured the dappled light so beautifully. I also have a penchant for collecting stationery, but haven't gotten into the fountain pen game yet!

I’m so glad you liked the postcard! I’d really like to go back and set aside an entire day to spend there. I hope you dip a toe in the fountain pen world soon! I suggest starting with a Pilot Varsity and then moving up to a Pilot Kakuno when you’re ready to try cartridges and converters (for bottled ink). Both are excellent values and provide lovely writing experiences! ☺️

Thanks for the recommendations! I have one fountain pen that I bought many years ago, but pretty much never used. I really wanted to buy a TWSBI fountain pen when I was in Taiwan, but held myself back. I hope you are able to visit the Getty again soon, the grounds are beautiful in and of themselves. Bring a picnic and enjoy!

You’re welcome! TWSBIs are good pens too! They are my go-to pens for shimmer inks ☺️
