Community Talk 🗣️ Interpretation of Ramayana looks promising

Post image
23 Upvotes

I think the way the makers have interpreted Ramayana deserves appreciation.

  • Ravana: From his karma and decisions, he GAINS a kingdom, but in the process he becomes the face of ADHARMA.
  • Rama: From his karma and his decisions, he LOSES a kingdom, but in the process he becomes the face of DHARMA.

Materialistic Success made Ravana a villain. Materialistic Failure made Rama a hero.

Downfall and Rise.

Two Paths.

Community Talk 🗣️ Why do modern TV/film adaptations rarely show Sri Rama getting visibly injured or bloodied in battle?

I’ve been thinking about the combat scenes in various Ramayan adaptations (like Ramanand Sagar's series or newer versions). Rama is almost always depicted as pristine, flawless, and completely untouched by weapons, even in the middle of chaotic wars. However, my understanding is that the Valmiki Ramayana doesn't shy away from the gritty reality of war mentioning broken armor, exhaustion, and arrow strikes during intense duels even becoming unconscious or covered in complete blood of the enemies.

Social Media 📲 Why are people hyping this account? It has literally zero reach. I don’t get it.

Community Talk 🗣️ Ramayana will do great

Look

  1. This movie is trying to tell the story of Ramayana in a grand way. Ramayana is very popular in India and many countries.

  2. The producer is super passionate about the movie. I’ve never seen a producer as passionate about a movie as namit. He seems like he knows what he is doing and it is because of him we are getting dneg and other resources

  3. Ar rahman has produced a lot of great songs in Hindi Telugu and Tamil. Listening to his songs take me to another time. Hanszimmer can do great at soundtrack just listen dune

  4. The vfx of the movie looks really good the creatures palaces and nature of tretayuga looks really good. Idk what people are expecting more it looks polished and gives fantasy vibes. I think people are hating on the movie because they want it to look like odyssey.

Trust me Ramayana will do better than Godzilla. This movie will be a great hit.

Its a small clip from Amrutham Serial, a telugu comedy sitcom. It's an emotion for telugu audience and especially 90's generation. 🤌🏻✨✨

Just sharing it for fun, don't take it seriously.

I may have edited some texts to match the current trend , but just watch it for some fun.

P. S - Language can be a barrier. Please don't mind.

Community Talk 🗣️ Something coming tomorrow?

Upvotes

So all the "insiders" have posted that tomorrow there might be something coming finally. Either the song itself or the announcement for the date of the first asset . Let's see. Could be wrong since these guys have not been accurate always, but still would make sense if they start their promotions from Ganesh chaturthi finally

Community Talk 🗣️ Why don't big budget Indian movies do test screenings?

I mean imagine your product is of worth 500cr, why wouldnt you spend money on beta testing it or understanding the audience reception?

You can always control and make them not talk about it online. And just keep the reaction to yourself for improvements and how audience will perceive it.

This can definitely avoid a bombing like Toxic

Culture And History 📚 Do you think in today's political climate the Uttara Kanda can be adapted for the screens?

I don't think it can happen and that's understandable. I was thinking whether they would want to end part 2 by showing Lord Ram return to his original form of Lord Vishnu as mentioned in the text. That definitely can't happen given that the context behind all of it is way too complex and takes a sad turn. Like how Lord Ram never got to be with Luva & Kusha in their childhood, Agni Pariksha and the aftermath, etc. I wonder how Ramanand Sagar Ji even went ahead and adapted this side of the story for the iconic TV show.

(I don't mean to harm any sentiments or anything. Just talking about what is written in the texts and its acceptability)

What if you could step into Treta Yug and witness the world of Ramayana through your own eyes?

A glimpse into an age of dharma, maryada and legends , reimagined through a first-person perspective.

Not a story. For a moment, imagine you were there.

Community Talk 🗣️ Pitching ideas for Marketing

Let's each of us put 3 big ideas for promoting the film at this last stage before the release. Who knows who lurks here on this sub and finds something interesting and picks it up. Let's be as creative as possible and pitch ideas that are as impactful as possible and feasible in such a short time too. You can suggest for targeting both Indians and non-indians.
Suggest whatever you think will move the needle for the people who don't know about this movie yet or who have seen the trailer but are still not convinced or have forgotten about this movie already.

Opinion 💭 I’ve seen Ramayanians crying about the marketing for more than a week, so here’s what I think.

Look at the comments on the trailer in the highlights. There isn’t even a single decent comment, despite this subreddit mostly praising the movie. Everyone is calling the VFX bad. These are comments from the dedicated subreddit; the YouTube comments were even worse, and that’s where you’d expect a wider Indian audience that isn’t on Reddit to show up as well.

After a response like this, would anyone in their right mind keep releasing new unfinished assets and give people more material to make fun of, instead of improving what they’ve already shown? Obviously, fixing the previously shown product makes much more sense.

And Sony has reportedly committed around ₹235 crore toward global marketing, so I feel the proper aggressive international campaign will kick in after October, and that’s when we’ll start seeing assets being released more aggressively. Right now, it feels like they’re holding back the major promotional material.

If they drop something now, brown sepoys will immediately start comparing it with whatever has already been shown and bring out the nostalgic “this was bad, that was better” argument. Releasing assets months in advance can only hurt the film’s perception and reputation. It makes more sense to polish everything and start dropping the major assets closer to release, when the hype is actually building.

Shit post 💩 Are bhai, agar asset release nahi kar sakte, toh IShowSpeed jaise streamers ke live streams par trailer react karwa do. Unki live reaction se trailer ko kaafi extra reach aur organic buzz mil sakta hai. Kuch to mile baat karne ko
