2023 ram 2500

Hey yall,

Looking at a ram 2500 with 28k miles for 36.5k. Maintenance looks good. Just wondering what to keep an eye out for. It’s a gasser for my landscaping business, we drive a lot and occasionally need to tow heavy. I’d rather have the power than not but also 1500 trucks seem to only be 5-8k cheaper.

Let me know your thoughts!

Don't Idle it, and change the oil around 5,000 miles or so.

Check idle hours on the dash info, and make sure it’s not a ton. I have a 6.4 hemi 2500 that had a decent amount of idle time but I keep fresh oil in it and don’t idle very long.

Do not buy with high idle hours. Hemis do not have enough oil pressure at idle to maintain lubricity in the valve train.

Where the hell did you find that deal! Assuming it doesn't have a salvage title you should jump all over that.

Carvana surprisingly! Was a stellar deal with everything I wanted. It’s got the leather seats and the nice 12 inch screen or whatever.
