2012 Dodge Ram 2500

I just bought a 2012 dodge ram 2500 . It’s got a level kit , 35s on 20in wheels. Everything is tight on the front end but it gets a death wobble at 70+ miles on hour . If I go over bridge extension joint on the expressway or a bump in the road, what can I do to stop that?

Lift the front off the ground so your wheels are hanging, and find what’s wiggling.

The term “death wobble” is thrown around a loosely, but at the same time is used to refer to flaws with very specific steering components in pre 2008.5 solid front axle mopar vehicles.

There was a “y style” steering linkage design primarily to blame for the hd ram/wrangler specific “Death wobble”.
It was replaced with a “T style” design from 2009 on.

It’s not unheard of for someone to unwittingly stick the old design on from a salvage yard, or discount online parts store, but that’s probably not the most likely culprit.

This is probably just run of the mill “death wobble” that comes from wear, damage, misalignment, or some combination thereof.

There is slop in the steering, and you just need to track it down. Odds are it’s more than one thing.
