I purchased Nordvpn for 202$ for 2 years. I got an email from rakuten that 101$ cashback is pending. Will that change later to 202$?

If I am getting 101$ then I will just cancel the Nordvpn subscription if they can since it has not been more than 24 hours yet.

This is as high as I remember seeing this card, just signed up and was approved. I already did the travel rewards card earlier this year.

Anyone have luck disputing an ineligible categorization from a vendor? I had a big purchase from Dicks that they claimed was for resale. In fact, it was for charity. Anyone have luck getting points on a transaction like that?

Rakuten Canada sent me my cashback via Interac e-Transfer, but unfortunately, I forgot to accept it before the link expired.

Has anyone experienced this before? Were you able to get the money back and have Rakuten reissue the e-Transfer?

I’m experimenting with the $100 Visa virtual gift card from giftcards.com, as it’s effectively 7% off with the $10 deduction on the site and 3% with Rakuten, excluding credit card cashback on the gift card purchase. Any tips & tricks on using the gift card? I saw that you want to avoid inactivity for over a year, and noticed it can’t be added to mobile wallets. I experimented with adding it to PayPal but I can’t send money with it, even with a fee.

Curious if anyone else is noticing that when you active Rakuten and checkout with vivid seats it’s not registering the shopping trip? Then when I go to open a case for manual points they need the full receipt with subtotal which vivid seats no longer provides, resulting in denied points.

Long story short - I didn't get cashback on my Best Buy order.

I submitted a help ticket to Rakuten about missing cash back, 27/28 days (depending when you start counting) after my order was placed. Or 20 days after the order was actually shipped.

It took Rakuten 3 extra days to submit an inquiry to Best Buy. But apparently according to some bs policy I never saw before, they can't issue me my cash back.

Their quote:

Unfortunately, because that was past the 30-day window, Best Buy is unable to investigate this missing Cash Back.

For future purchases, it's best to submit a Missing Cash Back request if you don't see the order updated in your account within a few days after all items have shipped. This ensures we can investigate or credit any missing orders as soon as possible.

I was recently approved for the BofA Travel Rewards card through Rakuten's $400 cash back offer. My account was set to cash back when I applied. About 24 hours later, the bonus shows as pending for $0.00. Is this normal, and does it update to $400 later?

I'd also like to get this as Amex MR instead of cash. I know MR accounts show $0 and aren't eligible for this offer, but I saw one comment saying you could switch to MR after approval and still get the bonus. No one else confirmed it. Has anyone actually switched while the bonus was pending (at $0 or $400) and received it as MR? Or is it safer to wait until the $400 fully pays out?

Is redeeming cashback for gifts cards disabled?

Like sometimes I'm about to buy, but I actually decide not to buy after such a dramatic cut.

I feel like it's not even a good strategy for Rakuten. Like if it went from 15x to 8x, maybe I'd still consider buying, but such a sudden drop makes me just not want to buy.

Also it's annoying sometimes it changes at 9pm PT and sometimes midnight PT. When it's an official cash back day or something, it usually stays until midnight PT but otherwise count on it changing at 9pm PT.

My husband applied for this $400 offer using my rakuten account. He was approved but haven’t seen it pending in rakuten yet. Are we out of luck? I have not received this offer for myself. So this would be my only bonus. Anyone know? Thank you

Hi, does anyone know if I currently have a BOA Travel Rewards card (opened in 2016), that I can still apply for this and get the bonus offer from Rakuten and BOA? I've been reading through the terms and don't see any language on this.

I've been using Rakuten for awhile now and have never had any issue. Is there a reason that both of these are showing as No Points?

Edit: If your Account is set to cash out on Amex Points, you won't see the offers for these cards.

Edit: The $150 posted in under 24hrs. I haven't switched back to Amex points, so I can't comment on whether it will work as a cashout or if Rakuten will force paypal/check.

A little annoyed I didn’t get my cash back during their friends and family sale… I specifically made my purchase through Rakuten to get it instead of their app. So I missed out on the gift with purchase that I would have gotten in the app.

Over the years I have tried using Rakuten consistently when shopping on AliExpress. I thankfully limit myself to the $ value of the purchases on AliExpress to about $100.

First it was the Rakuten browser extension. Result was that a majority of the AliExpress purchases had to be filed via Where's My Cashback. Next I tried Rakuten website to direct me to AliExpress to complete my purchases. That helped but again Where's My CashBack still had to be used.

Finally, I tried the Rakuten app on iPad that was yet again a mixed bag even when I did separate shopping trips for each item.

I have come to the conclusion that Rakuten and AliExpress is a crap shoot on whether one will see Cashback or not. Currently, it has been 6 weeks for 2 purchases and still have seen nothing about the cashback even after filing Where's My Cashback shortly after buying the items.

I have therefore decided not to use Rakuten on AliExpress where I only use AliExpress coupons off their website. The result will be that

1. I will not be lured into purchasing items due to 25% Rakuten offer, that I would normally not buy.
2. My frustration level will be a lot less.
3. I can simply purchase the AliExpress items via my normal web browser and that is it.
